@someonewithpc Some critiques: first, what is the criteria to win? highest voted submission...? Other...? also you need to set a deadline, on which you will mark the submission that meets the criteria to win as accepted, like the do on code golf.

There are some exceptions, like contests where the shortest code to do somthing wins, since it is entirely objective and very easy to update.

The pity is there is no reputation on meta.... No marking of a winner.... But I guess that's not the point, but still :(.

There are some problems with contests because some people will abide by the "Only new work allowed" idea and some will use models that were already made when the contest began. Short weekend contests are biased towards people who are using ready made assets. Then if you include render times, well that's half the weekend right there if the scene does not have a day or two of optimization work put into it.

@MarcClintDion Check points are a great Idea, so the .blend has to be submitted, then any amount of time it takes to render can be used.
