@pacmaninbw lol -- I've not heard the term "nonvolatile memory" in ages, normally I just hear "persistent". Must be different local jargon.

@Peilonrayz Hardware engineering jargon. Most of our memory is volatile.
Load the program from ROM, never write back to it while executing the program.
