If you are going to handle large amounts of data, you might want to look into multithreading ie when processing dates, parallel stream all the data between date and date.AddDays(1). This would be more on topic for codereview. — BIBOO unit 2 mins ago

Q: Update a docker compose service properly

Tobias GrotheI'm currently running an executable in Docker that has been mounted as a Docker volume in the foreground. The executable (or the service) continuously generates console output and can be interrupted by the Ctrl-C signal. From time to time I have to update the service executable "manually". To do ...

For example, I found out that adding "hi" on the beginning of a comment makes people perceive it differently. I started doing it in this site like a year ago. I try to write written text containing facts, where some people perceive it as rude or smug or arrogant. Humans are not made for written communication, which by itself does not have a "tone" or any emotion. This really is a big topic for code reviews. Please feel free to edit my question to gove it a better "tone", i am happy to learn. — KamilCuk 10 secs ago

There are a bunch of things that raise orange/red flags, even if they are not straight bugs. Please submit your code, once you got it working, to [codereview]. Do read their site guidelines first though! For you question here, you should extract a minimal reproducible example and include that along with the output (incl. backtraces) it generates. — Ulrich Eckhardt 52 secs ago

possible answer invalidation by DuesserBaest on question by DuesserBaest: codereview.stackexchange.com/posts/291881/revisions
@TrippKinetics It's because the shebang is a system-dependant non-portable feature. It completely breaks the write-once-run-anywhere pronciple so it was decided that it should not be included in the Java file format. I know it sounds stupid, but hey, it's 2024 and people are still confused about Java and JavaScript (see codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/java ). — Torben 49 secs ago
@Duga: Yes, it was answer invalidation. I rolled back the edit.

@HardCode this meta may or may not be helpful: Migration of code questions from Stack Overflow to Code Review - particularly point number 3 in the top-voted answer — Sᴀᴍ Onᴇᴌᴀ 52 secs ago
@HardCode Code Review is actively blocking a migration path and has been for years. This is not going to change any time soon, since the reasons are still valid. — Mast 11 secs ago
