Since your code doesn't really have a problem and you're not asking about a specific problem (other than how to apply sort's key) here, this is more of a code review question than an SO question. I'd recommend asking the same question here: codereview.stackexchange.comGrismar 31 secs ago

Q: Reading from a text file into a structure and posting to list boxes - is there a more efficient way to do this?

Damian PerryI am trying to stay ahead of my Year 12 Software class. Starting to work with records and arrays. I have answered the question, but the solution feels very clunky. I am hoping someone has suggestions/links for completing this task in a more efficient way. The task: read in lines from a text file ...

It's fine to ask and answer your own question here, but the question should be a question and the answer should be in an answer, not contained in the question. In the alternative, if you're seeking a code review, there's an alternative site that is better suited for that. My own advice here would be to avoid getting into the situation in the first place. SQL Server has types designed for storing tables and e.g. ADO.Net can work with table-valued parameters, so don't back yourself into a corner by generating this string form at all. — Damien_The_Unbeliever just now

As a general rule of thumb, most code in a program should be inside function or class definitions. The optimal solution to what you are asking might be to define several functions rather than just one. Since the question is about improving already working code, Code Review does seem like a better fit. If you decide to post it there, make sure to delete it here since cross-posting is discouraged. — John Coleman 20 secs ago

Q: C++20 generic math vector implementation

Terens TareI wrote a math vector implementation using expression templates to add a little boost to "chain operations" like: tnt::vector res = -v * 2 + d / 2 - 4 * c; // v, d, c are some vectors. by avoiding the creation of the temporaries. @Peilonrayz As we are both seeing in the comments on the question the OP may have a problem with English.
@pacmaninbw I don't think I have been the clearest here. I don't think the fault is the OP.
@Peilonrayz I think you have been pretty clear.
I believe I've over used SE jargon and incorrect names - anyone familiar with SE can understand, but everyone else will likely be confused.
14:49
@Peilonrayz Your edit did fix the problem, but the problem I see with the OP is that I quoted the offending line twice and they didn't understand. 2 things come to mind here:
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

@pacmaninbw If I were in the OP's shoes (back when I started SE) I probably would have made the same mistake. Sometimes when you have 5+ comments about how you've broken the rules you don't view the question like you otherwise would. Maybe just me?
@Peilonrayz Quite possibly they are new to online communities.
@Peilonrayz is the UK vaccinating people yet?
@pacmaninbw I don't like editing like I did - something something horses mouth. But nice, looks like the problem is solved :D
@pacmaninbw Yeah, possibly
@Peilonrayz You shouldn't have needed to.
I have an appointment to get vaccinated in 3 hours, I'm considered high risk.
@pacmaninbw Yeah I think my grandma's and her friends have had the 1st jab. IDK about second. I don't really follow the corona news. I'm low risk and my lifestyle makes me about as close to 0 as you can get. What's the outside ;)
