Or a StackWalker with some sort of reflection happening on the MethodTypes of the frame to see if they're a constructor for their class. Sounds more like a design problem that should be prevented in a code review though... — Player One just now

@Astaroth, i'm replying here as i don't have enough privilege on codereview... You are right RatingFactors come from the Request, also i have created an EventSubscriber that is converting json payload into array just before it reaches controller - this is probably what you call the Transformer class, ParamConverter is going to help here, thanks for that. Is it actually possible to use a ParamConverter in a custom service class? all the examples provided in symfony documentation shows usage in a controller class... — anonymous007 47 secs ago

Q: How to check if a string is null and use its value avoiding NullPointerException in Java 8 (or newer)

PittoI need to map few object's properties to another object. In order to avoid NullPointerExceptions I'd need something similar: private static String nullOrString(Object o){ return o==null?null:o.toString(); } What is the most modern / robust way of doing this in Java?

You’ve gone through the motions and play-acted a disaster recovery scenario, but despite spending a lot on the production, it’s not real. What you have is a fairy tale: “Once upon a time, in theory, if everything works perfectly, we have a plan to survive the disasters we thought of in advance.” In practice, it’s more likely to be a nightmare.

@Feeds A variant of that goes like this: "We know this should be safe, but a colleague encountered an odd situation years ago where it wasn't, so we do it different."
Planning for the edge case that won't repeat.

@Feeds what if I don't want to learn more - what will he do? will he be speaking somewhere else? or not at all??

Q: Python: adj list to a graph

Medicare is so complicated
That is all

@DerKommissar I will find out all about it next July, when I have to switch to Medicare.

I'm helping my dad with it now
Find a local financial planner who knows an insurance person...that's all I'll say
The rules are STUPID confusing
But one phone call to my FP's and then their recommended guy and now my dad's situation is crystal clear

4:52 PM
@DerKommissar Not political joke, but old joke that is fairly true: An elephant is a mouse designed to government standards.

Well a lot of it is trying to cover every possible scenario, I called the guy and he asked 3 questions that narrowed it down to specifically my dad's situation, which is nice.

5:05 PM
And apparently a Medicare Advantage Plan (free for him) covers the part D requirements, which means if he ever goes from the Medicare Advantage Plan to Part D coverage he doesn't pay the penalty.

If everything works and you don't have a problem, but just want a code review, I suggest asking on Code Review instead. — zvone 33 secs ago
The code doesn't work and is giving me unexpected outputs as I stated. I showed an example of me trying to implement the answer of another question without it working, to show what I have tried, I then stated the expected output and then asked the question. If this is post still isn't right here I will move it to code review instead — normal_human 13 secs ago

A: Why are alternative solutions not welcome?

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ Thanks! The up vote on the other question is gone.

@pacmaninbw FWIW I wavered with VTC'ing the post because the OP didn't really provide working code in the rewrite... which opens the door to answers of the form of "giving teh codez"

This sort of question is too broad, and subject to opinionated answers. When something is "lengthy and complex" is up to you to decide. If you're looking for feedback on working code, there is codereview.stackexchange.com but do read their posting guidelines before posting. — miken32 just now
What is your question? "Please review my code for me" is not a valid problem statement on Stack Overflow. You may be able to get help on Code Review. Before requestion migration of your question, please read through their help center FIRST to ensure your question is on-topic there. Do not cross-post, flag your post and request migration instead. — MattDMo 30 secs ago

Hi J. Igor, as the message says, this question probably requires too much of an opinion-based answer for stack overflow. That said, Googling for help with this may also be challenging. I'm not super familiar with the code review stack exchange site but it might be a better match. I would suggest giving an exact layout of your project though. Their help info also frowns on opinion-based questions. — xdhmoore 27 secs ago
@xdhmoore when suggesting users post on CR it would be great if there was also a suggestion like "Please read the relevant help center pages like 'What topics can I ask about here?' and 'How do I ask a good question?". In the current form the post above might likely be closed as off-topic because there is no code and/or the code isn't written yet. — Sᴀᴍ Onᴇᴌᴀ 46 secs ago
