@Peilonrayz I'd have rephrased it here and there, particularly the following part, but that's probably more a matter of style than your answer being flawed.
> You're on the right track, but you got the wrong conclusion. Due to the "any or all" rule we have allowed these questions.
I added a comment to thank the OP for their help in keeping quality high. I think it's good to emphasize that while there's a disagreement on this particular issue, we want to encourage continued participation.
Also upvoted answer
I also don't think there's as much context as there should be, but if it's enough for you lot, I'll accept that.
@Mast Sorry I don't understand what you think is wrong with this. Could you possible rephrase it to help things click?
@Peilonrayz That's not a rule allowing questions, it's disallowing questions that do not comply with it.
It reads the wrong way, I guess.
@Edward Ah thanks. I know sometimes my answers can seem dry :(
@Mast The code is pretty 'dumb' so the amount of context I'd need is significantly lower then if it were say an interview question or programming challenge. I can understand it being closed for this reason, but I didn't really want to get into that it's already complex enough IMO
@Mast Gotcha. I'll fix that now

Q: Social network login and registration forms

John HI am building a social network with PHP, HTML and CSS and a bit of JS. I want to know how secure my login and register code is. Register html: <input id="uname" type="text" onblur="this.value=removeSpaces(this.value);" name="username" required placeholder="Username..."><p/> <br> <...

@Edward Staying healthy is what matters :)

@Morwenn Indeed! Speaking of which, my wife has just made a fabulous chicken and pasta dinner. See y'all later!
I'm gonna drool over that
22:30
:)
@Edward Just don't call me late for dinner.
@Morwenn Please don't mess up your keyboard!
Fortunately I only own a laptop so my keyboard is not right below my mouth
Hello
Hey Brug, what's up?
Not much. Just doing math homework while the kids do gymnastics on the furniture.
22:37
Math homework? Damn, I feel so old when hearing that
I'm almost 40. ><
ok, now I feel young xD
:P
I had a less than typical path to higher education...
How do you keep focused while the kids are doing gymnastics on the furniture?
Easy: don't have kids
22:41
@pacmaninbw I don't. I have been working on a discussion post that shoulda taken 15 mins for 4 hours.
btw, it's nice to meet you @Morwenn . I have read a lot of your content over the years, although you've been inactive since I started coming around.
👋
It may not be an option, but I used to go to the library and listen to classical music when I was doing math homework, head phone kept the noise out..
@brug my pleasure, I was indeed quite active at some point but I eventually got tired of repeating the same advice over 150 posts ^^'
@Morwenn When did you stop being active.
@Morwenn I know the feeling
I'm glad that the community is still alive though, and that some people from back then are still here
22:45
I don't think we'll ever get rid of @Mast or @Edward although I don't want to get rid of them.
@pacmaninbw looking at my reputation curve it was probably around 2016~2017
Well as a newbie that has made some of the repeat mistakes, I'm glad other people pick up the mantle to teach the next wave of overeager new people.
It's inspiring to see reviewer sprouts learn to kill zombies =w=
Indeed.
If not for an anomaly a year ago, I should have more points on SO than here by now
22:47
anomaly?
HNQ post?
See the jump for my CR points around 2019?
@Morwenn I stopped trying on SO a long time ago.
@Morwenn Was it HNQ?
At some point I earned just enough points on CR every day to suspect that it was a single person giving me just enough points everyday to avoid the massive upvote rollback
HNQ?
-> Hot network Question
22:49
@brug It was called "rewarding the question askers" or something (question upvotes went from giving 5 rep to 10)
@pacmaninbw I stopped trying a long time ago too, but some of my old answers have become references on SO
@Peilonrayz In Jun '19?

Q: What are the criteria for questions to be selected for Hot Network Questions?

Maxim ZaslavskyI really like the new Stack Exchange home page, where certain questions from the Stack Exchange Network are presented, along with a hotness rating that is described as "arbitrary" in its tooltip. Such questions also appear randomly on the sidebar on questions across the network, under the heading...

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ not at all, I received an upvote on 4~5 different questions everyday fr some time as if someone took the time to upvote every single question and answer I posted on CR while just avoiding the rollback threshold
22:51
It lasted from June to August
@Peilonrayz stackoverflow.blog/2019/11/13/… That came later. It was also done in a retroactive way to appear as if it always had been that way.
@Morwenn That's kinda creepy...
@brug Ah, I didn't know it affected the activity graph too... :/
Haha yeah, it stopped when most of my questions and answers had been upvoted
Were you very active in the queues during that time?
@Morwenn ^^
No, I've stopped most activities on the SE network years ago, apart from upvotes on Q&A that help me and the occasional question
The last time I answered a question was in April 2017 o_O
Wow, I do feel old now
I have updated answers with more information though
23:00
I haven't been that active in months. I keep meaning to come back here though...
Anyway, I'm going to sleep, it's been nice :p
g'night
thanks ^^
