@Mast The only guarantee IP makes is that it won't create an infinite routing loop, using the TTL field, that it will be reassembled properly if fragmented, and that it will get to the specified subject using the TO portion of the header. It makes absolutely no guarantees on reliability, order, or error correction. In fact, the only error correction IP cares about is in the header itself.
