Not my favorite answer, but someone who knows encryption better can do the rest: codereview.stackexchange.com/a/112511/34073
I'm quite sure his encryption needs work.

@Hosch250 It does.
Using a shared, hardcoded key like that is a horrible design.
All it would take is someone smart enough to grab a decompiler to get the key from it.

You should write an answer.

I was working on one, but it sounded pretentious.

Maybe you should revise it then.

warning: "Y U VB???" is not an answer

@Mat'sMug Damn.
That was 2/3 of my answer. ;)

@Mat'sMug Works as a comment, sometimes.

@Mat'sMug Is "I see you are using VB to write code. You should drop that and use jQuery" better?

@SirPython No, jQuery is worse.

@SirPython C# forever, and down with that scurvy VB.

11:05 PM
@SirPython You should totally drop that.

@Duga Nope. Formatted the code much more appropriately.
First time @Duga has ever called me out.

@DanPantry I see you're using StackOverflow. You should totally drop that and use jQuery instead.

@Mast /s/StackOverflow/Stack Overflow/
Mind the space.

The space is important. Very important...

@EBrown Tell @RubberDuck, not me.

StackOverflow is to SO what JAVA is to Java.

*evil laugh*

@Mast Here be SE Legal advisers.

@skiwi I see you're trying to do this in Java. You should totally drop that and use jQuery instead.

I see you guys are using memes. You should totally drop that and use jQuery instead be original instead.

It is, of-course, better if jQuery is already being used.

well you should totally drop that and.. oh, wait
@Phrancis What's this "sanity" I've heard rumours about?

Can anyone proofread an answer I'm about to post there? I'm really tired and cannot guarantee it doesn't suck.

@EBrown What language?

11:13 PM
@Mast English.
No code in the answer what-so-ever.

@EBrown What programming language is it about?

It's a rant about how this "encryption" is merely advanced obsfucation.

Oh, that question.

@Mast Response to this question.
Yeah.
I really think someone needs to point out the elephant in that system.

Q: DCT Copy Move Forgery Detection Improvements

Brady SheehanI am attempting to implement an algorithm for copy move forgery detection from this paper http://www.ws.binghamton.edu/fridrich/Research/copymove.pdf. I have read the paper and used a description of the algorithm here http://blog.jgc.org/2008/02/tonight-im-going-to-write-myself-aston.html to help...

@Hosch250 Dead code != commented code.
> Third, you have dead code

Stop elephant shaming
Elephants are people too

@EBrown Note the on the question, I don't think your answer takes that into account.

@Mast Bah. This is why I haven't posted it yet. Lol

Np ^^

@JeroenVannevel Nobody Cares™ about elephants.

Good start at least.

When the did the Stack Overflow teams beta start?

@Quill I read some things on meta about it a while ago, but I never heard that it started.

Almost TTGH.

@EBrown The obvious exception would be public keys of-course, but looks good.

I like to see a hiring proposal by someone who knows what they're doing: "Please provide the following with your application:

An Excel Workbook with a button that opens a form for the user to insert their name. Once entered, the user should be able to click Okay and have that name inserted into cell A1. This should only take a few moments for the right candidate and will display your competency in Excel."

@EthanBierlein I remember doing quite a few edits on your posts, adding the space...

@Quill shh i've changed

Oh wow. This VB.Net Q. Wtf am I looking at? Why?

11:38 PM
is there a multi-line comment character for VB.net? or do you need to comment each line with '

Hmm. I honestly don't know. I don't think so.

Okay, thanks.

A: What's a Zombie? And what are the many other memes of Code Review?

SirPythonMeme: "INTERRUPT" Originator: Possibly @EthanBierlein Cultural Height: The 2nd Monitor. Background: Whenever Duga posts the message: RELOAD! in chat, a user might say: INTERRUPT! Why? @Mat'sMug: it's a race-duga-to-chat thing Note: as of 1/11/2015, Duga does not say two ...

this should be retired, then

@Quill I kept it there for historical reference. Read the bottom of the post.

agreed... please open a meta to establish community consensus and drop in a veteran banner

I could delete it, though, if that would be better.

meh. it was a meme...

11:51 PM
@SirPython Other memes have been retired, yet not deleted. This one can stay
@Vogel612 will do, if you like

I'd say deleting it is the wrong choice
then again there is no way for this to occur again, maybe we don't need a meta

^ yeah, that
As far I thought, the update at the bottom was a mis-structured retirement.

hmm...
more information on meme-retirement

@Vogel612 Preferably it's capitalized.
Here Be Pedants vs. Here be pedants
It's a variation on Here Be Dragons after all.

oh damn I missed that...

11:57 PM
Well, we're not very consistent about it.

@Vogel612 This meme has been retired by [community decision]({meta-link}) perhaps we should meta it, then?

Zak
@Mast Hey, quit stealin' my line :)

well that was the template. but then again it's kinda auto-retired by impossibility...

yeah, good point

Zak
is now part of the room description :o awesome!
