Q: Check for balanced brackets in JavaScript

thestuckboyRules: You should create a function that receives a string with brackets, parentheses or curly brackets, an example: test('{A}') The function must check that the opening and closing of the brackets are correct. If they are correct it should return true, else it should return false. Examples: '{A...

@Mast @Peilonrayz @SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ I recently lost 150 rep because a user was removed, today a Secret Santa gave me 20 rep. You might want to look into it. Not that I don't want the rep points, but I don't want to lose 150 points all at once again.

A: What does "user was removed" mean and why did my reputation change because of it?

JeremyWhat does "user was removed" mean in my reputation history? As a result, all of their votes and final suggested edit approvals were removed, and the rep...

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ I'm aware of that post, have been for a long time, because this isn't the first time I've lost rep points. It is the first time in a while, and it is more than most of the occurrences where I lost rep points. What I intended was that the moderators on this site be aware that I may have gotten 2 unearned up votes, if they are by the same user, maybe they should be watched.
One of the reasons users get removed is false up votes or down votes.

@pacmaninbw Considering the user was removed, the votes were not invalidated, there was nothing illegal going on. It's an unfortunate side effect of how deletions work. There are some very active users that do vote a lot on CR, yet don't have much reputation here. Those votes might fall away if the account is deleted.
Some of us would lose a great many points if the wrong user leaves.

You among others don't want me to leave. ;)

I can't get into details, but some could lose around 700 points all at once if they'd only take reputation into account during deletion.

Edward, Sam and Peilonrayz are some of the others.

@pacmaninbw You have enough points and activity that I'm fairly sure the votes would stay :-)
Regardless of that, no, I don't want you to leave :-)

@Duga @Mast I don't have 3k but I recall (and I very well could be wrong) "won't help someone in the future" is a reason to close questions on SO.

@Peilonrayz The answer by ArtEze is apparently an explanation from the user that asked to have the account deleted and had apparently had a sock puppet a long time ago
> “I apologize to all those affected, I was curious to see what would happen if I deleted the account, I’m already back. About the Sock Puppet, it is true, but it was only one account, the AutoReplicante, I do not remember the exact nick I had. It was a long time ago.” (translated with Google Translate)

@Peilonrayz it has 1 CV "About general computing hardware and software"
There is another SO community-specific CV reason that may be applicable "Not reproducible or was caused by a typo While similar questions may be on-topic here, this one was resolved in a way less likely to help future readers."
but I would only use that if it can't be reproduced or was caused by a typo

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ Ah, looks like my memory didn't fail too much. Yeah, perhaps the user VTC for a different reason because the name doesn't match the final sentence. Or for a completely different reason.

@Peilonrayz there is some shenanigans around reviews for user-deletions depending on the amount of votes
200_success is closing in on 30k votes

Jamal isn't too far behind

@Vogel612 Interesting. Shenanigans which mods will need to look into?

no, on the system side I mean

Ah. With 300k rep on the line... hopefully there's no bugs if 200's or Jamal's accounts are ever deleted.

it's basically that a CM looks at the account to see whether the votes should be preserved

7:41 PM
This question is probably more suited for Code Review. — Unmitigated 55 secs ago

@Vogel612 They probably won't need a long look with such accounts.

yea, probably

All votes would go to the Community user and be preserved.
Details on the exact thresholds are not public, but I'm positive no CM would even consider removing all those votes.

actually there have been some instances of large vote counts being removed. Not on CR (to my knowledge), but around the network it happened more than just a few times
