Q: Sub-classing a class and recreating nested class on the subclass

Q: Improving performance on pandas dataframe to_string method

dermenOften times I find myself converting pandas.DataFrame objects to lists of formatted row strings, so I can print the rows into, e.g. a tkinter.Listbox. Q: Why do Vertex Buffer Objects improve performance?

Ethan BierleinFrom my basic understanding, a Vertex Buffer Object works something like this (psuedo code): Normally, if one wanted to say, draw a square, one could issue line drawing commands. line (0, 0) -> (1, 0) line (1, 0) -> (1, 1) line (1, 1) -> (0, 1) line (0, 1) -> (0, 0) Using a Vertex Buff...

Q: How can I shorten my Python code? (For finding the sum of all numbers divisable by 3 or 5 or preferably in general)

This would be an ok post on CR, if you added a plain-English description of what the code is doing and if you changed the title to something that succintly (and ideally wittingly) describes what the code is doing, not what you want out of a code review. I would also recommend including the method's signature, and heck, why not the entire class. — Mat's Mug 27 secs ago

@skiwi spotify does something similar to this but it does it when your device connects to the same wifi network as another device that you own that also has spotify on it
Actually I don't even think it's the same wifi network, just it knows what device you are playing spotify on at any given time
so if im playing spotify on my pc and i leave the house with my phone and try and use spotify it'll stop playback on my pc and play it on my phone instead

A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. == DescriptionEdit == A geo-fence could be dynamically generated—as in a radius around a store or point location. Or a geo-fence can be a predefined set of boundaries, like school attendance zones or neighborhood boundaries. Custom-digitized geofences have been in use since 2004 for multiple online mapping applications since their development by Dr. Vinay Rawlani at the University of Missouri-Columbia. When the location-aware device of a location-based service (LBS) user enters or exits a geo-fence, the device receives a generated...

A: TEN. horror movie identification

@JeroenVannevel I know your love for JavaScript... quick opinion... would you rather see try { foo(); } catch (e) { console.log(e); } or catch(exception) { console.log(exception); } ?

@Mast Thanks, I've decided to go with a list of videos
It was easier
@Phrancis In my opinion, I would use catch(e). There's the Exception constructor and it may cause confusion

1:02 PM
OK makes sense
@IsmaelMiguel JavaScript causing confusion, imagine that!

@Phrancis You mean, write it?

lol

If you want to be confused, try reading minified Javascript
Or some asm.js examples

@Phrancis e is an accepted abbreviation, you can use it
for exception and event
but there's not confusion here
In a normal language though, you write it as catch(Exception e) so it's clearer

Right

I may be confusing myself, OR, you could admit that Boost working with C++/CLI does have issues due to managed/unmanaged code. The fact that the crashes only seem to occur when you call filesystem path OR split regex (filesystem.hpp and regex.hpp) denotes that there is not something wrong with MY code but something wrong with how everything is tying together. I could move that boost call absolutely anywhere else and the crash will occur in that specific place.
