Good. Open up your network tab, find and select "All" next to the text input box, and then scroll down through the message list for something that says "kick" or something like that.
Find anything?

I really need to close the tab or I won't get any school done.

@SirPython it's empty, I'd have to do it again :/

Could Quill possibly be kicked again, or would two kicks escalate to something bigger?

@Quill You should really create a Meta about this. I think stars are supposed to be anonymous.

@SirPython Kicking has nothing to do with stars.

Q: Are all under 1000 reputation naturally idiots?

Daniel BeauyatLife is hard on Stack Overflow for us, the under 1000 reputation guys! Any 1k+ user is by definition cleverer than you. And it becomes a game for others to downvote you. It's a long time since I want to ask these questions: Is 100k+ reputation a matter of points accumulated in time or a matter...

I tried that application they mentioned in the C++ lounge a couple of days ago and it didn't work for me.
@Quill Flagged as rude/offensive, because he's under 1k.

@Mast Did you change the room ID in the code?

@SirPython Yea.

@Mast Just change the room code, paste it in console, and then reporter.get('stars')

A: Are all under 1000 reputation naturally idiots?

BradleyDotNETAll reputation is really a measure of is how much you have contributed to the site (and the value of said contributions, as judged by your peers). You're avoiding the question.

I'm just trying to follow your thought-process.

I thought it was funny
I thought the question was funny, and far from being on topic.

@Quill SirPython starred this

@Malachi As an ex mod, can I comment on what would have irritated me about your response?

It is funny... just not constructive - hence the (deserved) downvotes in a Q&A system where the most constructive answers rise to the top :)

@Quill Sssh!

@rolfl it irritated me when I said it

12:39 AM
There are times to be funny and times to be constructive. When you encounter a possible troll question on a meta site is a good time to counter the troll with something constructive.

^^^ I sort of disagree....

I'm writing up a new meta post on this as well, I'm in Biology now, but, I'll try and slip it in

@Quill meta post on what?

I say, the system works exactly as designed, IMO

when you encounter a troll, flag it, and move along. Don't try to be constructive.... you can't be constructive normally... there is no constructive action other than to flag.

@rolfl yeah ok, I can partially agree with that.

Yeah, it kind of is, but, I think a JS script will shock them into fixing it, or something similar

@Quill Why do you think it is broken?

@rolfl Hmm, I don't know
Are stars supposed to be anonymous?

Well, they are not obvious, but there's nothing to suggest they are anonymous either.

12:43 AM
@Quill From a security standpoint, making it to where you can't see those (unless you were a mod) even with clever workarounds/hacks, would be a huge deal I think. I have a feeling the Meta.SE question will trickle into the bottomless bucket of that may never get prioritized
And, what the monkey said :)

@Quill - want to see a bug? See your "shots fired" starred message on the right side there.... currently 2 stars......
You watching it...?

I know you've had aspirations in the past about becoming a moderator, @Malachi, and if you're gonna have a good chance at that someday, that meta SO answer that you posted is not something I'd expect a moderator to post. (at least revision 1, revision 2 was slightly better but still not something I'd like to see as an answer to such a post)

@rolfl last time I checked, "cancel stars" was a feature and not a bug

@Malachi just you wait until winter bash...

It is a feature, but, "cancel stars" is a "I-don't-care-who-starred-it-now-they-are-gone" thing.... all I am saying is that stars are nothing more than pixels to manipulate, and not some form of valuable 'currency'. Anyone can take them away.

> A time to weep be serious and a time to laugh; A time to mourn downvote and a time to dance LOL.

12:52 AM
@rolfl I am kind of irritated that everyone has lost their funny-bone. it was kind of serious with a hint of Sarcasm

There's no reason to be serious all the time, but you've got to be serious in the right places
like meta, funerals, etc

@Malachi What, can't I use funny and witty answers when you're feeling serious?

people normally do

No, you normally do ;-)

Seriously, @Malachi, there's no such thing as a time for when people are being "allowed" to not be serious. It's all about context, situations. I just happened to think that your response to the bad question on MSO was just as bad as the question itself.
and oh, @Malachi, this also:

StackExchange continues to amaze me, one minute it's all about being serious, removing "fluff" from posts and stuff. The next minute it's all about hats, unicorns and waffles.

Normally, when people have serious questions, getting an attempt at a funny answer is just irritating to them.

Waffles!?
