@DavidRicherby they'll probably extend it for another week or so, and then, if there's still not enough candidates (2?) they do this:

@Criggie It's not abnormal so to speak, and it's not necessarily a problem sign
It might mean "No one in the community cares enough about moderation". But it could also be that the current time that the election is being held is inopportune for those who would've thought to run. Or something else.
emacs.meta.stackexchange.com/a/520/21 - Gilles wrote an answer on emacs when their election had to be extended, about scenarios where the lack of moderation interest derived a lot from a lack of active need for it.
