Hello guys, can you tell me, am I wrong? codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/207531/…
09:22
@Calak If you found a bug the author may have missed, that doesn't make it off-topic. OTOH, if the code is so broken, it couldn't have worked even once for the author, that suggests they are posting code that's not ready for review yet. That's my rule-of-thumb, anyway.
@TobySpeight it's not just a bug that authour may have missed, the output is completely different from what he expect, each time.
So, did you think I was wrong
- When i say "it's off-topic"
@Calak So by my guide, you made the right call
k, same for the reply to @Kerndog73?
(I'm new here, want to try to take good habits)
That said, there was plenty to review, if you didn't know part was broken. And it's received a good answer. So I'd let it be.
And I've upvoted Martin's comment - let's try to be welcoming, and assume good intent.

what's hurt me, is that Kerndog is wrong on some points, plus he know that was off-topic.
The the Martin's anwser: "An overly draconian reading of the faq is not helpful to the site.".... How? That's why the FAQ and rules exists, no?
09:36
@TobySpeight nah, let's assume everyone is lying about their code ;-P
So, I'm surely wrong... Tried to do my best at my level to help the site, but obviously, Rules and FAQ aren't absolutes and all time applicable.
I VTC'd it
@Calak votes or flags don't make any harm so I don't hesitate to use them, if other people are of the same opition they will support it, otherwise they will say it's wrong
people should not be afraid to use them
And letting moderators and old users tell to others when and where they are wrong, i suppose? Not like I did. Don't blaming to don't get blamed... A lot less problems :p
09:52
That question is very different than the clearly off-topic, "Here's my code. It's broken; how do I fix it, and show me how to also extend it with this list of new features". Kerndog did the right thing by mentioning the broken part, and saying it needs to be fixed, with hints, but without a full replacement code there.
so what? from time to time everyone is wrong... not a big deal
@Calak like editing closed questions ;-P - one shouldn't do it if it doesn't fix a question because it unnecessarily gets promoted to the reopen queue
@t3chb0t Yes, that I understood it, I try to pay attention to that now ;)
I think I care too much about that. It's only internet, I have to chill.
@TobySpeight & @t3chb0t, thanks for your answers and your time :)

(And sorry about my writing mistakes, never learned english at school but only by myself)
10:39
someone has forgotten to post their real code codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/207543/…
is this really nessary to add the cv-pls tag in a chat that exists for this purpose? mhmmm I find this is redundant
@t3chb0t Somewhat redundant, but since there can be re-open (and other) requests too, you got to put the info somewhere.
I believe the reopen cases occur like never, so it's easier to put a reopen tag then and drop it for every other question
let's use it only for exceptions and not for each and every link, this is crazy ;-P
So, make the default? Not a bad idea.
10:45
yeah, exactly, by default it's and if it's anything else then we could tag it appropriately
much less typing - we're all lazy ;-)
besides the comment already indicates the intention pretty clear
11:00
@t3chb0t If you're properly lazy, you'll want the Close Votes userscript, so you won't need to type very much at all!

Code not implemented or not working as intended: stuck on simple c++ opengl program - gaspard thirion‎ - 2018-11-13 16:36:23Z
17:04
@TobySpeight I was just wondering whether it would be possible to extend those scripts and add an additional link to the request that would lead to the review page too but this stupid IDs are not the same, changing /question/ to /review/close/ doesn't map 1:1 -- brilliant :-\

it looks like OP downloaded this code from khanacademy - vtc due to authorship? codereview.stackexchange.com/review/first-posts/106770
21:06
@t3chb0t Do you have a link to where the code was copied from?
@200_success mhmmm... now that you're asking for a link, it looks like I might have misread something... I think it was a false-positive, oops ;-]
...retracted my vtc
Requesting to fix known threading issues Synchronizing queue problems?
21:26
@t3chb0t It does say Credit: khanacademy.org/downloads/buyrent.xls but if you open that file you can see that it's just data, no code.
