At this point in time, "vacation" doesn't mean what it used to mean: free travel if you're free, etc.

@quid Yes, I understand. One cannot go into the "next year" without proper preparation (particularly if it requires more on-line teaching.) No time off planned? Of rather, is your "time off" spoken for in terms of preparation and then research? That's kind of what I'm experiencing.

@quid True. I get that. But in trying to solicit folks to create a canonical Q&A, they've already made it a meta post. At this point I could care less of what comes of this. But I think my time on this site, in having anything useful I can do or that people permit me to do, is running out. Perhaps that's something I have to live with.
