While I sympathise with your noise sensitivity, I have a very hard time agreeing with this answer. Living in shared accommodation as a student often means moving in with a number of (young) adults, very often with very different schedules and habits. While I will always advocate being considerate (towards anybody), it is not fair to put the sole responsibility on the OP to adapt to their flatmates needs: they prefer to cook and eat late, not throw raves on weekdays.
