Can anybody tell me the simplest way to check +I or -I and +R or -R??

greater the oxidation state of C.A., more acidic is the oxide

@LalitTolani more oxidation state means more readily it will accept the electrons, so according to lewis acid theory, it would be probably more acidic :D

@AdilMohammed I don't think so ,then why anisole IUPAC name is given as methoxy benzene for that matter ?
I think answer reffered by @YusufHasan says that heptoxy benzene is preffered but 1-Phenoxyheptane is also acceptable , which seems fine
