@RavirajBhosale In JEE Mains 25 Feb Shift 2, the following question was asked: Among the following, the number of metal/s which can be used as electrodes in the photoelectric cell is _____(Integer answer) Rb, Cs. Li, Mg, Be.
The answer given was 1, considering only Cesium

@Jayadithya Oh then that will be in correspondence to NCERT as JEE Mains Chemistry Paper setters refer that book. Infact I just checked, NCERT has mentioned Cs and K as the only 2 to be used as electrodes in photoelectric cells. If you are targetting for advance as well with further 2 attempts of Mains then discard Rb from the list. Follow NCERT as much as possible for Mains Chem. ncert.nic.in/ncerts/l/kech203.pdf 3rd page just bellow the big table.

@AniruddhaDeb Hi
hellooo 👋🏽 @jaya
long time no see, I hope everyone's safe and healthy :)

Could you please tell me how to do this question
I think try to relate $\ce{[Ni3+]}$ with $P_{O_2}$ and since conductivity is directly proportional to $\ce{[Ni3+]}$, you should be able to substitute and get a relation for $P_{O_2}$.
maybe Equilibrium constant would work here? $$K = \frac{\ce{[Ni^3+]^4[O^2-]^2}}{\ce{[Ni^4+]}P_{O_2}}$$, so $P_{O_2} \propto \ce{[Ni^3+]^4}$ and hence 1/x = 1/4 ?
not 100% sure, the last tryst I had with chemistry was previous semester :P Also, I'm not sure what significance (if any) the vacant cation sites have.
@AniruddhaDeb Heyy.. how's IIT D?
hey @SafdarFaisal long time :) IITD's great; acads are still challenging tho
how's stuff at BITS? Online classes / extracurrics?
04:58
We'll take it to the other chat room? need some activity there.. :P
@AniruddhaDeb But the answer given was 6.
@Jayadithya Hm, really not sure... I think the vacant cation sites might be significant, haven't seen this kind of q before :/
@AniruddhaDeb Is this question asked by your chemistry professor?
Because my teacher said it was taken from IITD assignment
no might be from a different class; We had kinetics and quantum chemistry in our first year physical chem course...

@Jayadithya I guess every institution says that right. There are many Q my teacher tells that they are from his assignments at IITB

Hmm...
