Heyo: does anyone have any idea why Zinc ferrocynide is white?

The ferrocynide should have given at least a tinge of yellow.

@Help I haven't done much spectroscopy, but I think the blank should draw a zero. Probably not calibrated.

Minor note: It's "Zinc ferrocyanide" and not "Zinc ferrocynide"

@YusufHasan I can counter that with two points. Tell me if I'm wrong. 1. All d-d transitions are forbidden anyway, but the vibronic coupling at room temperature is enough to distort the centrosymmetry of the oh complex, relaxing Laporte rules. 2. Potassium ferrocyanide is a nice yellow. Surely the same logic applied to it as well!

What I intend to know is that, "What happens if we have different halides in the cuprous salt and the diazonium salt?"

If you look here under the simplified overview tab, you will see a table there,under Jan Teller effect that will show that no distortion is expected for high spin d6 complexes 2) The polarizing power of the cation also plays a huge role in any form of charge transfer being affected. Zn2+ is much more polarizing

Than K+. This causes much more difficulty in electronic transitions taking place in the ferrocyanide ion in the former case

Oh no no, the same halide has to be consistent throughout the reaction, if it's chloride,then all the chloride analogues at the reactants side and so on
