@Wrzlprmft Well, that is to be expected if the election is due to a rather popular mod being forced to step down due to (from what I gathered) simply causing more 'fuss and controversy' than mods should. So, yeah, things like that heat things up. I suppose election was nessecary due to mods being otherwise overworked, but waiting for things to simmer down would perhaps be better.
@MassimoOrtolano I must say that for at least 3 users, I'm almost certain that they'd be a good choice (so my voting wasn't hard). For the 4th, I simply don't have enough info, but I'd wager it wouldn't be a bad mod at the least
@Discretelizard Oh, that’s not even half of the drama. They elected one mod who was at that moment serving a one-year suspension on another site, as a result of which some former moderators had their accounts deleted.

I congratulate other campaigner for the successful campaign. I am sure there may not be much difference in the vote counts.
In fact I would thank all the moderators and people around academia.SE from who I do learn a lot of things. It is impressive to see such clear election and results. See you all.
@Wrzlprmft got the diamond symbol beside his name. :-)
