@Seth yeah not what I was implying, I was just implying that Canonical might have a preference for their employees not being part of the people "running the community" so that they can see how the community develops free of influence of people inside Canonical
well I'm just guessing about Canonical's views, it'd seem logical, so that feedback they get from communities at large is more objective and less orientated by people who already have inside information most don't
although admittedly who wouldn't vote for Jorge if he were to run? XD
Well, if she were ugly, I would still fall in love, I mean it is pretty awesome to see (At least in my country) a girl talking about the same area I like of technology.
though to be honest, being a nerd is totally worth it :D
@LuisAlvarado times may be changing I'm doing my bachelor's in engineering right now and for the first time there are more girls in the optional course in computer engineering than in electrical engineering :o
@LuisAlvarado though there aren't many girls in engineering to begin with so still under 10% in each
@LuisAlvarado yeah though cautioned optimism is needed, but strangely I've got a feeling the harsh job climate is convincing more girls to try computer-orientated jobs, but I'll chat later, I'm off to eat now ;)
