I saw somewhere that $G$ abelian group of odd order then $x\to x^2$ is automorphism of $G$. But if $G=Z/3Z$ then $0\to 0, 1\to 1, 2\to 1$ @ManeeshNarayanan
Where am i wrong?
got it, i was using multiplication, even though $Z/3Z$ has only operation of addition

automorphisms are isomorphisms. right?
here in your map, it is not 1-1
@Silent
yes, thank you!
hii all
how's your studies brother
going good
06:05
:)
have u joined MSC?
I've u.o.h. entrance tomorrow
@ManeeshNarayanan No , I didn't pay admission fee in SAU, waiting for CCMN results and IIT Mandi
okay
best wishes
06:08
thank you bhaii
see you later bro.
I'm interested in real analysis and group theory
and I haven't studied topology till now
okay
How is IIT Mandi bro?
Should I start from metric space first?
planning to apply for phd in the next session?
I think you can directly start from munkres
06:12
@ManeeshNarayanan , it is good , if you have more interest in applied mathematics
there is a subsection metric space there.
at that time you can study more on metric spaces.
it is my opinion only.
what about S. Kumaresan sir's book on metric spaces
it is a good book.

You've phd interview at IISER Kolkata.....
all the best ! this time you'll surely rock
:). thank you
see you later.
going for one marriage.
internet connection problems !! sorry !

the people in the environment are despicable mercenaries

In the study of field theory and partial differential equations, a Toda field theory (named after Morikazu Toda) is derived from the following Lagrangian: L = 1 2 [ ( ∂ ϕ ∂ t ...

A: Which of the following is not a possibility for the sequence $k_1\leq k_2\leq k_3\leq k_4$?

Maneesh Narayananconsider the options $2$, $rank T=3$ and $rank T^2=1$. We know that $rank T^2\ge rank T + rank T-4 \implies rank T^2\ge 2 $. But $rank T^2=1$. So, (2) is not possible.
