Down to 2 bugs...1 bug...4 bugs
Some pls help me with this question
A spherical balloon of diameter 0.5 m contains a gas at 1 bar and 300 K. The gas is heated and the balloon is allowed to expand. The pressure in the balloon is found to vary linearly with diameter. What would be the work done by the gas when the pressure inside reaches 4 bar?
I am unable to reach the correct answer
I've spent all day fixing bugs and suddenly there are more
Just show me the final step with the answer the final integration
I know the concepts
Pls
@danielunderwood I think that's normal
21:02
@Avantgarde I need it urgently
Pls
huh
I'm eating my meal right now
Then post the solution once you have finished
I would be happy if I have the answer
Pls
That is the only thing I require
@danielunderwood
@gateprep stop telling people to do your work and do it yourself
U may try in case u have time
The answer is not coming
I have tried multiple times
I mean its and MCQ
You aren't getting an answer because you're asking what's essentially a homework question rather than pointing out what you're having an issue with.

I am having problem in getting the answer right after substituting the limits in terms of diameter of the ballon
in case u get an answer tell me
I will match with mine
@danielunderwood
@Avantgarde
Look at the problem as something to understand instead of something to get an answer for.
Sorry, I can't. I don't enjoy solving others' homework-esque problems.
@gateprep I'd recommend avoiding pinging people repeatedly to help you - it's unlikely to make them particularly well-disposed towards you. If you need help with something, make a question out of it and post it on the main site.
You'll need to include details of your problem, along with an explanation of where you're stuck and how you've tried to resolve it so far (including how that didn't work).
@gateprep You have been repeatedly told in here (e.g. here, here and here) that your insistence that people answer your homework questions is not welcome here. Since apparently mere words do not suffice to make you think, take a day off chat entirely to reflect on your behaviour here.

whomp
down goes the banhammer
What are the timescales for bans?
there are no defined timescales
I have a box that says "put a number of hours in here"
Oh you're a mod?
Flexible power, I see
What's the official Physics Homework Policy?
Cus I could never get that clear
I'm sure there's a link somewhere
...somewhere...
21:52
Is it 1. No homework problems. or 2. Homework problems that show effort are ok.
More like 2, methinks
There are HW problems here all the time
22:10
And then there's whether or not something is a homework problem
meh
"As a general rule, we do not discourage homework questions, as long as they are related to physics. "
is this legit
@enumaris The policy as written down does not really match as it is used in practice, and as it is used in practice does in turn not really match any of the proposals made for its revision over the years :P
The standard comment I leave because I feel it expressed the status quo best is:
> Please note that homework-like questions and check-my-work questions are generally considered off-topic here. We intend our questions to be potentially useful to a broader set of users than just the one asking, and prefer conceptual questions over those just asking for a specific computation.
that seems to be quite different than the link provided
the "we do not discourage homework questions" in the link is supposed (or maybe "nowadays interpreted"?) to mean that it's okay if you ask about your homework.
I.e. we generally do not care for the origin of a question
