Hm. Question. When creating mass from energy, do you have to also add the energy to account for potential energy created, or is that naturally accounted for? That is, comparing three experimental arrangements in an ideal universe - one firing a laser at gold foil on the ground, one firing a laser at gold foil on a space station, and one firing a laser from the ground into space at gold foil.

A and B are obviously equivalent because you have to carry the fuel/energy up into space in the first place; C, however, doesn't seem equivalent, as the electron and positrons created would have a different potential energy out of the same creation energy.

overfitting is like when the neural net learns to memorize the data...at that point it does really good on the training data, but it won't generalize to data that it hasn't seen.

Theoretically, a lot more data should mean better generalization and less overfitting...but...it doesn't appear to be the case for me...
