it feels like bad luck

because I'm graduating at the top of my class and got research awards and stuff

well the physics research award Cornell gives to a senior undergraduate each year and awards from talks I've given

wow nice!

uhm one of the groups I'm in is for QFT/QG research and the other is GR research

anyways I'm just aimlessly venting haha; it is what it is

I can't blame others for getting into schools and for me not getting into any so far

no but it s really interesting to hear experiences and (personal) opinions from students and people who belong to the best of their fields

I blame people all the time for things

I am surrounded by people who are happy with mediocre and regular results (in all senses of the term). I just can't understand such a mindset

sometimes it feels as if i am the only one trying to be the best
