@Blue Latex is... Useful, to say the least. It's most definitely worth the small amount of time it takes to learn it

It sure is. :P Let's see if I can convince them

$no$
my uni's thesis workshop recommended using word to keep all the formatting unified

@Mithrandir24601 I'm a bit short of time. Could you write up the Meta post for announcing the chat session? I'm not sure I'll get time to write it tomorrow or the day after

I wonder how many people used word's equation editor instead of latex

I quite like word's maths formatting with my surface because I can draw it in with my finger.

8:05 PM
@enumaris What!

And it works quite well...

::facepalm::

Engineers use Word

Ok noob question but where's the upvote button here

Anonymous
I get the option to mark as interesting

Huh? I don't see that on any question...
Nor can I see upvotes on my own questions

Anonymous
Maybe merkan Quora sucks :P

8:24 PM
Bizarre, can't find anything about it online...
Guess I'll ask it on quora :P

Anonymous
I guess recently asked questions have that Follow option

Dunno

Welp, every question seems to have that for me. The one I showed was posted in 2016

Just found about some new website brilliant.org. I am hooked.

Sid
@SirCumference I think follow is used in place of upvotes there

@Sid Eh, I don't want to get bugged every time a new answer pops up

Sid
I think you get that only after 1 or 2 answers. After that, it stops

@Sid Well, that's weird in itself for a follow button to only sometimes follow

9:37 PM
Is there a formula that relates flexural rigidity to longitudinal displacement and normal (to the cross section) force?
Oh yeah, it's Hookes law :P

9:58 PM

@enumaris I mean $\sigma = E u_x \Leftrightarrow N = EAu_x$
