guys! is anyone here good at downloading books online? :P I'm looking for a Dutch math book (Inleiding in de Statistiek by Fetsje Bijma) which is available as ebook, so I was hoping there is a less expensive way of getting the book, though I don't have much faith:d I already tried b-ok.org, without success

Okay I don't want to keep on bugging you guys with stuff I don't understand but this has been annoying me for too long so if $u=\sqrt{\frac{r}{r-r_0}}$ then it can be re-arranged to be $r_0-\frac{r_0}{1+u^2}$ And then you have to work out $d$r which is the bit that's getting me. Keeping $r_0$ as is and $r_{\mathrm{final}}$ is $0$. Anyone know anywhere to start? I'm just a tad confused. If it doesn't come to you immediately don't waste too much of your precious times on it :/

I survived my first QFT lecture

I thought to have $d$r $=r-r_o$ but that hasn't really worked out too well.

@CooperCape Don't worry about asking lots of questions - if it (somehow) does get too much (I haven't seen it happen), ACM or some other mod or similarly important person will ask you politely to stop :) Do they mean $\frac{dr}{dr_0}$ or something else?

@GPhys It might be my misremembering, but I think that's quite a good book (really, I might be confusing this with a different one, so I might be wrong...)

@Mithrandir24601 Thanks :p Sadly it's not really specified - just left as $dr$ but from previous context I'd say maybe $\frac{dr}{dt}$ but that doesn't seem to make much sense unless you have $r$ as a function of $t$ already... Seems like a good starting point however... I'll try it out :)

Ah - I don't watch much in the way of TV and often spend an hour or so reading before bed

I used to be able to read and watch TV simultaneously but I've killed enough brain cells to not be able to do that any more

Or rather, it may be a bug that messages still generate a ping if they are moved to a room you can't see, but it seems a rather rare edge case which is probably not the cause of whatever caused the pings in your case to get lost
