Could one of the mods edit out the first sentence of my comment here:
I believe you missed part of the question. The limiters are there to prevent accidental misuse. It's like a safety lock for guns. There to prevent misfiring. But when you need it, you are free to remove it. — Mysticial 58 mins ago
It was intended only for the deleted answer itself.
But since it's been converted to a comment. It seems a bit out of place - and rude.

@Mysticial Done.

@Krazer thx

I wonder should I bounty my Index faction question or should I just answer it myself...? I have most of the data that I need from reading the light novels and wikis...

@Krazer Let it sit unanswered for when we start the publicity campaigns.

Alright

7:12 PM
I'd say if we leave all the non-Naruto stuff half answered, half unanswered, it'll probably be good.
Here's my idea right now.
I actually want the railgun question to be answered. Well - and I mean VERY well.
Since it's a candidate for r/anime

@user58512 I've been meaning to read both Buddha and Hi no tori
@user58512 have you read them?

The Science vs. Magic thing we could probably leave for outsider experts to come in.
The pokemon and Clannad questions are both good to go.

@Mysticial yeah, either not answered or not accepted would be nice for some

Anything we link on reddit should be answered - as well as possible.
It needs to create a good impression.

@JNat, I can't read japanese so I could only read a few scanlated volumes

7:16 PM
@user58512 what about Ode to Kirihito?

I was wondering... should we also consider reaching out to academia sources for anime/manga there are research circles for those after all

no

@user58512 aren't both of them translated?

there's an out of print translation from viz, something like $200

@user58512 what? wait a moment
never mind, that was in Japanese
but Buddha is translated

7:19 PM
there was some arguing when they made the animations, they left out some imporant (imo) parts etc.. it's just worth reading the manga

@JNat Viz does a really bad job maintaining older volumes of it's older series

@Krazer yeah, but 200$
o.O

I'm really glad Viz got their asses together to release a box set of the Nausicaa manga

@Krazer they did?
wow

love the anime of that

7:24 PM
@Krazer I need to buy that

@user58512 The manga is SOOOOO much better

great

I wanted to get the complete set for a friend's birthday last year... every us retailer I tried was missing certain volumes... I had to import some from Europe

aw

Definitely one of the best mangas I've read of all time.

7:29 PM
ive not read it yet, my favorite is yokohama kaidashi kikou

@user58512 Have you read anything about his new series Kabu no Isaki? Some of it has been scanlated

that's the older one
havent read it yet

@user58512 I'm pretty sure it's the new one, since Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou ended in 2006 and that series started in 2007

oh you're right

8:03 PM
has anyone seen katsuhiro otomo's memories?
or read it?

@JNat no, what's it about?

8:41 PM
Memories (also Otomo Katsuhiro's Memories) is an anime produced in 1995 by artist/director Katsuhiro Otomo which were based on three of his manga short stories. The film is composed of three episodes: , and . The latter story was directed by Otomo himself. Plot Magnetic Rose The Corona, a deep space salvage freighter, while out on a salvage mission encounters a distress signal and decides to follow it. They soon come upon a spaceship graveyard orbiting a giant space station. The crew's two engineers, Heintz and Miguel, enter it to get a closer look. Once they are inside, they discov...
it's three stories
IDK if I should read them first
or see the movie
that was what I wanted to ask

@JNat I usually read the medium that came first
But for this one I think it would be better to watch first then read second
rarely do adaptations exceed the original

8:58 PM
@Krazer then why would you go with the movie on this one first?

@JNat Because I'm a fan of the medium I'll always be interested in how they adapted the source material

@Krazer but the movie is the adaptation
shouldn't you go with the manga first?

@JNat Personally I would because I like to read the source material so I know how it ends or if they made any changes to the original plot. But it this case I don't think that really matters so I would be interested in seeing how they animated it and then read there the adapted source material
they can't animate everything, so it's better not knowing what they cut out and then reading the source materials for "extras"

@Krazer oh, I see

I for one like knowing how something ends, so I can enjoy everything in between

9:32 PM
Oh hey, we just got another legitimate list question.

@Mysticial I saw it

Is there anyways to find or verify the answer to that question?

@Krazer I'd guess only through a lot of searching
I'm not sure
you'd have to find elsewhere where the guy is credited,
and cross check that against the ANN data

I mean we can look at IMDB, too... but how do ppl usually find uncredited roles in the first place

not really sure

10:26 PM
we have a lot of good unanswered questions
that's nice

Lets up the quality of the questions next.

I'm a bit worried about the ones that I've been asking - since most of them can't be definitively answered.

10:41 PM
@Mysticial Challenge accepted!

@Krazer haha
