@UnrelatedString I feel you, apparently people I like are still making music for the past 4 years but I've not seen anything new until now -.- I hate how notifications are so fragmented
in my case i realized a bit late after the fact that it's because i just haven't checked youtube in months :P
@UnrelatedString huh, you're the first other person I've met who's liked t+pazolite... I went Touhou -> t+pazolite -> JCore XD
The three songs are quite nice
people tell me i have rhythm gamer music taste sometimes lmao
Would make sense Hardcore TanoC make **** tons of rhythm game music
yeah
it was kinda crazy finding out they even directly collaborated as a label on making wacca
but yeah i had basically the same trajectory, except i was never into touhou in the first place but just got a ton of touhou memes from lurking on the melty blood discord
it was this exact video that exposed me to nanahira, which got me into her stuff with camellia and t+pazolite, which got me into the rest of their work, and now most of my music taste is basically built on top of hardcore tano*c compilation albums with a bit of whatever else youtube recommendations threw at me
00:43
@UnrelatedString I partially saw a video about wacca today... apparently TanoC had a quite large role in making the game. I just thought the collab was similar to pretty much every other rhythm game in existence XD (so many songs are released for rhythm games)
(and also after i shared a few joe fight songs one of my friends got me into bbbbbbb)
ooh neat
@UnrelatedString lol, yeah when she collabs with Cemellia the songs gunna be good ;) tpz can be a bit hit and miss at times ;_;
yeah ;_;
his experimental tendencies do tend to pay off a bit less reliably with vocals involved
@UnrelatedString I don't know what bbbbbbb is, I've only come across bbkkbkk
i don't really know how to describe them
i think they're still pretty obscure
00:49
Ah, searching bbbbbbb on Spotify makes a lot more sense
Kinda sounds like breakcore, terrorcore and speedcore. But fairly distinct from the three
yeah it's... very distinctive
Yeah, just listened to some Dj Technorch to compare. Yeah I don't think I've listened to the genre before
some other vaguely relevant genre labels seem to be "power noise", "industrial hardcore", and even "industrial hip-hop"
i definitely wouldn't characterize it as hip-hop but there does seem to be some influence--i'm pretty sure they actually sample death grips in god? (and then they sample death note in shin god)
lol
@UnrelatedString Idk the stuff I'm finding on YT with such names seem way less trippy then bbbbbbbb
figures :(
there are similarities with harshcore but i don't think anyone other than dj myosuke has actually adopted the harshcore label for anything, and there are still substantial differences even if it's kinda the same vibe
01:07
You'd probably like OZIGIRI -- example. Still quite different
ooh, thanks for the rec
very different but it's an accurate deduction that it's still up my alley
I'm probably going to make a playlist for bbbbbb since the sound is cool, thanks. I do think the list is going to be a small one tho XD
np
:P
i do try to get the word out there about them

reading "bbbbbb" here suddenly reminded me of this "b" music...
and well, since I grew up with BEMANI games, I used to love to hate Camelia x Nanahira songs in Sound Voltex (the chart, not the music) :)

@Peilonrayz I recognize the album cover art, ah-haha because this was on my playlist: youtube.com/…
@UnrelatedString this one reminds me of another touhou fan song of two singers as reimu and marisa conversing/singing with increasing speed till it's become unbearable
@Peilonrayz omg is TanoC founded by REDALiCE, the touhou doujin group?
i'm gonna start listening to it now
REDALiCE is good stuff

man, after listening to TanoC, I gotta say I prefer the early days of ALiCE's EMOTiON. Now it's too much (hard)core and too little J.
even the song titles are more extreme than it used to be. the style has shifted a lot.
...reminds me i've still never actually gotten around to listening to any of his pre-tano*c stuff
but in any case you might want to check out some of his vocal stuff or anything that's on one of the irregular nation albums (the compilation album series for stuff that isn't actually hardcore)

thanks for the suggestion, i'll try out the irregular nation albums more (only picked a few for quick listening)
it's such a big group now with so many crews and productions
14:16
yeah it's gigantic lmao

@Gao Yeah, for Touhou you have ALiCE'S EMOTiON (REDALiCE) and C.H.S (tpz). For JCore you have Hardcore Tano*C (REDALiCE) and C.H.S (tpz), with a few other non-touhou creator labels.
@Gao In my experience the songs have gotten, for the most part, calmer. Some of the ~2015 era stuff is pretty odd. However, some of the artists like to go harder than others. I'd imagine most people would like aran and REDALiCE, where DJ Genki, DJ Noriken, Srav3R and Shandy Kubota (USAO's alt) are possibly a tad more hard.
@UnrelatedString Yeah, IN is great

Q: Why does Killua have cat ears

Art3misIn some of the episodes of Hunter X Hunter it will show a flash scene of Killua Zoldyck with white cat ears. Why is that? Does it have a hidden meaning?

@Peilonrayz I am surprised to find that 2 of 3 ALiCE's EMOTiON's songs that I liked are arranged by 源屋 and sung by 3L. Only Colors is done by REDALiCE and sung by Nomiya Ayumi. I didn't think of them as a group of arrangers, only REDALiCE + singers
