Q: Anime where intimacy is required to get power

SomeguyI remember watching an anime a long time ago, that wasn't explicitly ecchi or anything like that, but the protagonist and his female partner, needed to do some intimate things to get their power going, I think it was some hug with lots of double-entendre lines, and then the animation of their pow...

Q: Is Killer Bee still alive?

Abhishek MishraIn Boruto: Naruto the Movie we see Hachibi being extracted out of Killer Bee, and he is presumed to be dead. Killer Bee's chakra resulted in much less pills than what was anticipated. I didn't give it much thought as it was clear that Momoshiki was used to consuming much more chakra pills. But t...

Q: Why recovery girl never cured All Might injuries?

PabloSupposedly All Might injuries are one of the reasons he can't last and fight anymore like he did in the past, before the battle with All For One. Why recovery girl never cured All Might injuries? Midoriya many times completely broke their arms and legs but she was able to completely cure him. Why...

Q: Why Super Saiyan Rose eyes are sometimes pink and sometimes grey?

PabloSuper Saiyan Rose eyes are shown to be pink sometimes and other times grey. Is there any reason for this, or it's a design mistake?

ok now that I've memed, I might as well read the post
forgive me father, for I have memed
@Hakase the room's name ends with ")" though?
also even if you mean the english part, that ends with Café :P
technically it ends with "-" if you look in the url
:p
that's pewdiepie btw not some weird hentai
22:29
kind of an interesting read
insightful to some extent
@Ave as i said before we're generally fine with how we chat to one another and content policy our images sometimes get close to the line but i think we all know when that line is obviously crossed
Ave
Ave
yes
but yeah, reading it again won't hurt anyone.
it will just protect maid cafe.
@Gal oh you were in there when shit went down
in one of the scifi main room iterations
I'm reading up on the drama history
trying to figure out who said what that led to bans n shit
it's kinda difficult when each time the messages are deleted, and then staff says "it's not the messages" or "none of these examples would be helpful in learning what not to do"
and I'm like wot
at least give a generalization
of any kind
like "there were 2/3/4 regular users who kept belittling other people's favorite book/movie/character preference"
22:49
@Memor-X That's so accurate
also yea what's up with closing the entire room, just ban those people who clearly don't understand how social interactions should work in a civilized place
and I'm just thinking out loud here coz what else can be done
But the Korean Drama part may also apply to shoujo manga
I want to know if it was some borderline "technically not touching" or something much more obviously offensive or just pure evil
@Memor-X lol
@Hakase Not sure, but didn't Shog said he was pinged a few times after that? Looks like it continued, so he had to shut it down
22:53
one of my other questions is: Does locking up a main site chat room and creating another one change anything (aside from the room id)?
I might actually ask that on meta if I don't find out reading these posts
Probably not, maybe except for the RO settings, which had to be reassigned
Doubt it would change anything.
I don't mean "would" but as this has happened obviously, has it actually?
or is it just a "loud" way of slam-shutting the door on the room
these closing words stay there forever and are seen by anyone who wanders into the room
does it cause psychological pressure on the mentioned offenders?
is it to make people think "oh shit! I better be careful and maybe just go away without touching anything and never return"
and would you want all people who read it to think that? and do they think that?
It will "wipe" the history of presence of user in the chat (not really deleted per se, but it belongs on different room) and force them all to start from scratch as "new" chat member
Given that the people want to take the effort to do so.
22:59
in any case, I have to wonder about what sort of proof they've received that led them to genuinely believe (if they are actually telling the truth) that a significant enough number of people feel excluded or harrassed due to their biological differences
(talking about that blog post now)
I've read the js room interaction with that new chat user
the regulars have quickly posted that this new user has 0 chat history prior to this interaction
my default mode of interacting would be "welcome new user, let us greet you properly and introduce to the chat in a nice way"
but the regulars started accusing the new guy for trying to troll
I understand new accounts may troll sometimes but it's never good to switch the default to "suspect troll, accuse of trolling, try to kick/ban"
that whole fiasco is entirely on the regulars
but
the "story" you could hear as told by the allegedly trolled regulars in this situation is just as believable as the "story" of allegedly discriminated
I can't believe either of them without seeing the entire picture for myself (in this case it's conversation in text form)
in the case of the js room incident I can read the transcript and judge for myself
I've seen some fair share of relatively unwelcoming, and sometimes almost hostile discussions within chats here. However, most of these people do end up being flagged and deported. I can see how some new users might not know of this.
in case of the blog post, there's nothing for us to read
I'm sorry I can't blindly trust the word of the staff members
I also have reasons to believe it is in the interests of most staff members of most public companies to do publicity stunts in pursuit of financial gain and such
@Dimitrimx yes, but we have publicly saved transcripts
@Hakase It's not always straight to the face. chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/376
is that like a classic example? :p
23:10
Thats one I picked out at random even :p
hah
@Hakase one of the rooms Shog shut down was SciFi's one. i don't recall the full reason but suffice to say a couple of users were talking about something which got lots of flags and it wasn't the first time the offending users or the room got Shog's attention
yes, so ban the users
why lock the room too
you don't close a bar after a bar fight?
or a cafe? >.>
But you might close up shop for a while though.
bars usually don't :p
23:12
@Hakase but you do if it keep happening to the point the cops keep getting called in
and why would it help the place's reputation to close?
just resume the normal interactions when the hostilities have been removed
I some what agree though that the moderation capabilities for chat are bare minimum.
@Memor-X was it because of the specific users? or was it because of the room itself? (so that when the room got locked and a new one, identical to it, was opened, it didn't generate that problem? :p)
@Dimitrimx what features would you like to have?
what has the room itself done to deserve getting closed
is what I wonder
especially when the new one opened and you wouldn't be able to tell that it's different
that's just weird
What other option would there be right now?
Consider we here now accepted lewd pictures as acceptable, its part of our 'culture' so to speak.
Now this becomes outlawed (very roughly speaking), but people won't just stop as it is set as the common norm.
What do we do? Ban all users of the room that have posted such content?
As there is a history, we somewhat indirectly encourage it.
Do we force the community/ moderators to go back to the beginning of time to find and destroy all evidence?

Or would you just destroy the room, and with that the insentive of, to give a clean slated start?
After which you off course would enforce this new, stricter rule/
the room isn't destroyed though, it's still publicly visible
you just can't post in it
23:18
Hence my statement. I feel like options for moderation are somewhat lacking.
but yes, ban the offenders, remove the offending messages and let the normal users who comply with the rules keep on talking
as for going back in history, I think the regulars can be trusted to outline the rough messageIDs which to hide from public eye permanently
Agreed, all though with the new 'stricter' rules. I can understand why they would want to do so.

As the 'offensiveness' might be rooted in the culture of a room.
Not to say that I personally agree with it though. I feel like the approach you mention would indeed be better.
by "offensiveness" I mean harassment, illegal content and nsfw images
@Dimitrimx are they planning to do something else instead?
By 'offensiveness' I also mean for example, undermining somebodies favorite movie character, not onces, but several times over an extended duration.
that's "being not nice after being repeatedly told not to be like that"
+ and explained what you're doing wrong multiple times and not understanding it still
that's like a certain level of (un)wilful ignorance which isn't acceptable
23:23
What if I told you the way most of us respond on for example ID requests, can also be considered not nice.
it is indeed not nice
but is it nice to not read the site rules though? :p
(inb4 whataboutism, the classic soviet technique of distraction :p)
But is it welcoming to new users? Must say when I first landed on SO, I landed on the 'ask a question' page. And just ranted about whatever I wanted to know.
Got nailed straight into the ground. Reworked my question, and still got nailed.
regarding the IDs specifically, I've proposed several times in chat and on meta to alter the [closed] plaque to be outright nicer and more helpful
Had no clue as to why, or how to resolve it. Until about 5 questions in, when I started to get the graps of it ;/
we could raise this issue again if you'd like
23:26
We could do. Don't think it's that big of an issue. But we ain't a big chat room either ;)
no I mean the ID closed plaque
we could improve it
Could bring it up on meta for sure yeah.
Improvement is always good.
Now going to head for bed. It's well past 1:26 AM and I would like to catch 3 hours of sleep before leaving for work ^^
cool, I'm all for it, been since the start, just haven't gathered enough momentum
mm 2:27 >.>
good night!
and I unfortunately caught a cold and my hed hurtz >.<
can't sleep, so I weep
eat pizza and drink tea
I gotta watch that sometime
