Himotou! Umaru-chan was a good anime. I enjoyed the titular character's multiple personas and it reminded me of how I was really lazy in school but still managed to be an honor student. I think that much cola would hurt my teeth, though.
As far as I checked in Google, there is no direct reference for the age of Marguerite - she was one of the female tribe members on Amazon Lily who've found Luffy.
Her age is ambiguous at best, as everything seems to qualify between 14 and 24 - or even beyond, knowing the way Oda handles age.

my phone kept restarting and shutting down and I googled how to figure out what was causing it
turns out there's no easy way
tanks, quality advice
I looked at the running processes and there was some bullshit going on
and it turns out there's also no easy way to prevent apps from doing that shit all the time when I don't even need them
some recommendations include using custom process managers to forcibly disable apps, revoke their autorun and backgroud process autostart permissions, but to run them normally you have to manually re-enable all that again
but that's just bullshit
imagine having more than a few apps, and they all wanna do whatever they do at the same time
I thought google had that under control
I was hoping there would be a checkbox for "don't do anything until I run this app"
but it's called "uninstall app"
yea
and I don't wanna go through all of them to dis/re-enable each time
That's kind of the world of Android. The OS is more permissible with its actions so that you can get better background services. If I had to manually run every app that I let run in the background, I'd go insane.
since I don't use any of those apps often enough I just deleted them all
first and foremost I don't want the phone to reboot all the time and then shut down after a while
good night
The only thing that comes up when I google search "mace vs maul" to learn the differences are Star Wars references of Mace Windu and Darth Maul :| — Zack10 hours ago
A fair use argument could theoretically be made, but I don't think there's been an actual court case over it, so I would put any such argument in the "dubious" category
But in practice, most publishing companies don't care; in some cases they will even support your actions. The only exception is when the original text is the work in and of itself, such as with translating novels
Legal threats have been thrown around in that case, particularly in the case of American companies licensing foreign works and then threatening fan translators who had been working on translations independently (see the "Support JAST USA's official localizations of Nitro+ games!" fiasco in which many translation groups were sent takedown notices)
@arda Licensed anime falls under the copyright law of the country it was licensed in.
That's pretty much the only case in which legal threats fly around period, as such companies view fan translations as a threat to their profits, while the original company who made w/e series would love for more people to buy it, regardless of the language in which it is purchased
i did ask about translations for Drama CD's once and @LoganM pointed out on the question that they are copyrighted content. i asked on the meta about it and from what i understood what @ToshinouKyouko posted using scripts for reference is ok but requesting isn't
subtitles can be seen as a digital version of a script which is formatted to work with a second visual media. also you shouldn't really be having the subtitle file separate from the anime while not having the anime itself since officially there's only 2 sources for subtitles, streaming sites and disks. and i'm quite sure sites like Crunchyroll have you agree not to download any portion of the anime you watch when you use their site
fan subs are a bit iffy. in theory you could get just the fan sub file and buy the anime from japan and put the 2 together yourself.....but in theory communism works
i doubt that even if there was an option to get fan sub files and a program to rip and patch japanese disks with the sub file, most of those who would get the subfile would go for just downloading the anime itself like the one-eyed sea lovers they are
NOTE: should this question get in the top 8 question this should only be selected as a question if the number of candidates is less than 8 (number of candidates from last year)
This year we have only had # Candidates nominated to join the mod team while last year there was 8 candidates. can you ...
@Dragon "i don't know where the question is coming" my impression from the question was that it was hinting that since the island are devoid of men how do new Norma come to be. your answer is one way, that they are born off the island to regular parents
the other is how we explain how Northern-hime exists if there are no ship girls who were that young to have been sunken and become an Abyssal.....one of the Abyssals is a futa. thus if 2 Norma have a child one of them is a futa
also @JNat did you guys add in a new editing update system where posts refresh on their own when an edit has been made?
@Dragon yeh that's fine. generally if you quote something from another site you could also include a link so we can see where it came from. just a little bit of evidence to show you didn't make it all up and claim it's on the wiki
also, how would two girls have a baby in the first place, even if its anime, it still goes by the rules, the anime also shows the main girl making out with the main guy in the island
@Memor-X pardon me if its a misunderstanding, i don't deny yuri, and it was clearly in crossange but i just never thought that two non futa girls could have a child
@Dragon Futanari Someone(Usually in a doujinshi, but occasionally in normal fanfics or hentai), who appears to be female, but for some reason has male genatalia. Used by people who can't draw/write yuri
Maybe she didn't have a father, I think it represents a family. She didn't have a family man. That's why her family want her to get a boyfriend so she didn't have to go through so much to keep her family in shape and her working so hard while going to school and not even in senior year.
The first set of two flag is Uniform Whiskey which means have a pleasant voyage. The pennant and the uniform Whiskey the tug puts up just means message received and replying to your message.
@arda "The story thus focuses on Tomoya's role as a psuedo-consultant while getting to know the four heroines of the story as the player is given an interesting look at the world of eroge development." makes me think this is an adaptation of a visual novel
@Memor-X I use incognito a LOT, like for everything. Including stupid youtube vids people link me. I don't really watch hentai (I don't like it) or porn (it is degrading against women) in general though.
sure the commercial type of porn is degrading and overall just bad, but there are troves of non-commercial recordings which are so much more fun for everybody involved
I thought it was about being fucked by the world or taxes
damn I read so many unfunny variations of the same jokes on the internet
all thanks to my two years on imgur
and now I'm on reddit so it continues
anyway, if anybody wants to learn loads of new interesting things, just go to reddit and browse interesting subreddits in the "top" tab, filtered by "all time"
@CuddleBunny i found a copy of Tales of Eternia PSP on ebay. the description says that it "is the 2.50 version firmware Meaning that this is the NON GLITCH version." is 2.50 just to indicate it's an updated version of the original game or is this a custom patched version applied to the PSP game? (similar to Xenogears 2.0 which added japanese voices and control scheme)
@JNat well today while i was looking at some new posts on Stack Overflow the question was flashing alot and text was changing about as if they were edits but there was no bar at the top of the post notifying there was edits
once i returned to a page and suddenly the answer changed showing the "edited # minutes ago" thing and i wasn't sure if Chrome was doing some weird auto-refresh or if some new functionality was added to have posts refresh when they are edited without the need to refresh the page or click any links
I wonder how discussion forums pick their moderators
I don't think SE's way of picking the most active and acting according to the rules users can work at all
reading some stuff about reddit and it's pretty unclear to me
if we can just take some top (by rep or edits) 10 users from any site and there's a high chance they'll be good mods, I don't even know what criteria to look at on discussion forums
@JNat do you have any ideas on that?
I'm thinking about this coz I'd like to eventually have some community formed around my game (which I'm still making) and I don't know if I want to have much direct control over what happens on its subreddit or some other forum/discussion site, and so I'd like to know how I could pick the best moderator candidates, but I'm drawing a blank here
from what I know, every top game company hires moderators and community managers to do mod work
they somehow find suitable for-free moderators from the most prominent community members
know the system, not highprofile trouble maker, decent contributor, seems like you care about the community, active, know how to use the tools, activity and badges
curse's gamepedia for example has this option listed on their new wiki registration form: Are you interested in helping to administer your Wiki on Gamepedia?
Since I went to Japan on holidays I've been craving the coffee milk that I've had over there, but I haven't been able to get it at home.
No local asian stores stock it and I haven't been able to find any online stores (although admittedly I have been looking at only English-speaking sites) tha...

@CuddleBunny i kept looking around because the ebay item i saw was the last one. apparently the initial version has a glitch when you fight some guy name Volt and after you defeat him you have to hit 3 switches for you to progress and the game locks up if you walk behind him.
but i kept reading messages stating that the 2.5 is the PSP firmware install but mix messages that the glitch is on the UMD which is fixed with copies shipped with the 2.5 firmware update
@Memor-X I see, I bet if you had an up to date PSP it would work fine then and that the disk just comes bundled with the firmware so it forces an update. I don't recall running into any issues when I fought Volt
Looking for the name of a sci-fi cartoon. Kind of 80s or 90s animation. Space ships were flown by some American voiced crew. They were some kind of rescue squad or maybe space police.
In one episode they went to a orange tree farm in a canyon which used mirrors on the canyon walls to direct sunl...
@CuddleBunny that's where the mixed messages are. some people say it's the PSP Firmware that's the problem and some say that it's the UMD. also read that it's not a problem with the japanese version which wouldn't be the first time a localization fucked up a game (Ar Tonelico 2 with Raki's final battle crashing the game when she uses one attack in the 2nd-4th turn)
Is yamato dead? If not what happened to him. We saw him being taken prisoner by Kabuto and then we never see or hear from him again, even with Kabuto defeated we see no mention of him. So what happened to him?
@Sakamoto Kishimoto couldn't find out how to fit him into the plot, and ended up forgetting about him until the very end. Only then did he go "Oh, I forgot to wrap up Yamato's story... crap"
@Yuuki that's what was going though my mind when i was playing Star Ocean 4, fighting Satanail as Sarah, flying around in the back using resurrection symbology going "STOP DYING! I CAN'T RECOVER MP ANYMORE. HE'S ALMOST DEAD STOP DYING AND HIT HIM! DON'T BRING HIM TO ME!"
