We had thought of me coming round his house, but planning-wise it wouldn't work out, I'd have to get a hotel room for a night, because I would not be able to catch my plane if I'd go round his house.

He lives about 2 hours away from the event

PT is the acronym, yeah. Yeah, it's used quite often, especially for work commuters and such, but it's pretty localised for each area of the country

Aside from London, where everything's on Oyster, it can be a bit awkward. I could tell you all about South Yorkshire PT, not so much on Coventry :/

We use one card for pretty much everything. You charge the thing or let it charge every time it goes below a certain amount and you can travel by bus/train/subway/tram/waterbus all around the country, regardless of carrier.
