those are the cheapest sorts of pu erh
store has sorts that are tens of times more expensive than these
I only took em all to try and see which kinds I like
turns out the green kind I'm not very fond of
@Hakase Lol, what anime is that from?
noticed your av looks blurry on user page
@nhahtdh Blue Seed
> Genres: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Demons, Mystery, Drama, Ecchi, Horror, Romance, Sci-Fi
it's got everything
Lol, that is one fine mix of tags
comments say it's from omake episodes
Reminds me of H manga with a bunch of tags
17:14
does it know there's not simply rice inside it?
or did you use a program that doesn't sustain temperature after cooking
you seem to like your food hot both figuratively and literally
all the kids in Dennou Coil look like they pay taxes from day one
peculiar art style
17:31
Their eyes are smaller than other anime, that's for sure
That's what I feel comparing it to recent shows, genre regardless
17:49
somebody should put it on our meta rec list
dunno if anyone reads it tho
howtobasic
18:45
@Hakase for puerh? or in general
depends on the infusion
I'm always amazed by how versatile Ai Kayano is. She can do characters with deeper voices like Utaha then completely flip the switch and do something totally different like Menma, Nagi, or Mashiro
19:09
all this pu erh is not helping my hunger
time to get some real meat
@Hakase raw?
@ton.yeung @Unihedron SEDE cannot help me finding out what we were discussing before. The displayed date for the accept votes is always 00:00:00 of the day in which it was accepted.
So unless an answer comes in the next day after having accepted an answer, there's nothing I cna do
19:51
@ʞɹɐzǝɹ fermented
@ʞɹɐzǝɹ is there a difference?
it just hit me that perhaps Black Lagoon brigade called the new guy "Rokku" not just because of his name, but also coz it means number 6 like on playing cards, implying he's a pawn, a noob
could be a rakki coincidence
20:23
@Hakase ripe puerh is the only tea that should be made with boiling water
ok then what's with dumping first ten seconds brew?
20:42
@ton.yeung @Unihedron You can disregard my previous message
Here you'll see that at least 748 answers have been posted after the question it answered had an accepted answer
Does not account for possible changes in the accept vote
And since the dates of the vote get rewound back to midnight that day, I added one day to the count, which means it is also not accounting for answers posted in the same day an answer was accepted
@ton.yeung Is this convincing enough?
It better be, 'cause I'm a n00b at SQL and wasted most of my afternoon trying to figure this out :P
21:01
@Hakase in general?
@JNat JNat leveled up in skill: SQL Querying
Ahah
@ʞɹɐzǝɹ both
this other pu erh tablet just doesn't end
fourth brew and it's still going strong

@Hakase I am against timing infusions
I understand I asked a trivial question but the answers are basically the same
4
Q: Konnichiwa and Konbanwa

user1306322What is the difference between Konnichiwa and Konbanwa? Is it appropriate to use either one in everyday conversations?

@ʞɹɐzǝɹ timing?
@Hakase basically what you are asking
>.>
timing confusions @_@
21:27
if we start timing infusions, then one must also time the number of elapsed seconds between infusions -- whether that is 10 seconds, a minute, or five. Leaves that have been infused three or four times will continue to cook in your pot until the next time you pour water in
I just want to know why it's recommended to get rid of the first 10…30 seconds of brew
the water that you pour in does basically two things: bring the temperature up a little (it’s likely still very hot in the pot without the water) and it carries all the dissolved stuff out with it when you pour. imo the actual amount of time it spends in the pot isn’t that important
there is one possible explanation but it's probably not helping nowadays − tea used to be transported in horrendous conditions, so the main reason would be to remove dirt, dust and other unwanted stuff that got into tea while transporting. I assume the times have changed enough for that procedure to be unnecessary
you don't need to max-min your infusions
so don't worry about it
and enjoy
roger that!
now it is time to sleep

Q: The person in the Akatsuki cloak in Chapter 702.?(spoiler)

Madara Uchiha うちはマダラ Show/hide My theory is that the hooded man might be someone new who was also working behind the scenes, but didn't make himself known as Obito and Madara had done or could be someone already introduced as a part of the Uchiha, or it could be Madara,or Danzo So, perhaps even the masked guy isn...

@mirroroftruth i get the earthquake being scary but unless you did something to piss off Homura she shouldn't be scary at all
@MadaraUchiha thanks for that

@LoganM Ok, sometime this weekend i was planing on uploading a bunch of images from my collection however as you said "On the other hand, if you're uploading niche images, don't upload 2000 when there's only a couple hundred images remaining in the bot, since those will dominate." and it appears we have about 400 images and i ain't counting how many images i am going to uploading
i'm just wondering if i should hold off until you add more so my collection doesn't dominate if i happen to upload that many
@ton.yeung Why not?
We have no way of answering the question
I can give you those numbers and whatnot, but I have no idea, and no way of knowing, if the other questions with accepted answers and no new answers posted after that, haven't had new answers because of the accepted answer
The OP is just asking for a 'best practice'
We can try to use those numbers to guide them
Or tell them what we usually do, and why
or both
but it is ultimately up to them
And we don't have the means to understand why or when new answers are posted after the question has an accepted answer
Or why they aren't
@ton.yeung The question is "Does accepting an answer prevent users from posting new answers?"
The answer is, "we have no way of knowing"
Unless I'm missing something
I miss stuff all the time
:P
@ton.yeung We still have no way of knowing, from what I can tell
Unless you ask every single person that viewed the question "Did you not post a new answer because there was another accepted answer?"

A: Do accepted answers prevent people from giving more answers?

JNatI get your concern — accepting an answer can sometimes drive users with good (or better) answers away from answering the question. I've refrained from accepting answers myself once or twice too (here and here, for instance), but in these instances my main reason for not accepting answers was actu...

> I estimate that up to 20% of the questions with accepted answers have received new answers after having accepted an answer.
If that's where you were going
23:12
I didn't want to exaggerate, but maybe a bit over 20% is possible
@ton.yeung Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean by "follow up answers", I think it does
@ton.yeung Did you read that post?
I just used estimate there because I'm certain that a little above 15% have received new answers
And I estimated that about 5% more are not accounted to in the query, for 'technical reasons'

Correlation does not imply causation is a phrase used in science and statistics to emphasize that a correlation between two variables does not necessarily imply that one causes the other. Many statistical tests calculate correlation between variables. A few go further and calculate the likelihood of a true causal relationship; examples are the Granger causality test and convergent cross mapping. The counter assumption, that correlation proves causation, is considered a questionable cause logical fallacy in that two events occurring together are taken to have a cause-and-effect relationship. This...
I don't care enough to dedicate any more time to this either :P
@ton.yeung I never said that

Unless you ask every single person that viewed the question "Did you not post a new answer because there was another accepted answer?"
@ton.yeung Ok, I just wanted to provide some guidance to the OP, and used the numbers to roughly illustrate what's going on. You have half the work done :P
You, or anyone else who feels compelled to provide a more definitive answer to that user
@ton.yeung From which you can verify correlation, not causation
Which means the question would still not be answered
Unless, again, I'm missing something
Ahah, ok ;)
23:30
@Memor-X How many are you planning to upload? I won't be able to upload any of mine for at least a week. I'll probably upload around 1-2k when I do.
@ton.yeung I answered that.
I'm gonna stop here. Otherwise I think we're gonna keep going in circles.
@LoganM no idea in one folder i have on me i have 134 apparently but that's just at work from my random downloading, i got a lot more at home which i plan to go through and add to the collection and i don't know how many are in that
You don't have to upload them all at once.
@ton.yeung You can leave an answer with what you propose to be the follow-up work on the date. If I find the time (but I doubt I'll find the will) I'll get it done.
@ton.yeung You don't need to crunch anything. I was just proposing for you to leave a comment mentioning what you think could be done next with the data, to reach better conclusions and help answer the question. That way, it'd be visible and even if neither of us want to take it on, somebody else might.
@ton.yeung They probably just don't wanna make that data public
There's another table with more info regarding posts and votes

Q: Forgot the name of the manga with a girl hunter with demons in her hands and a lot of vampiers

SilverThere’s this manga where in the beginning, a boy is in school and sees a hot girl and she lures him to some isolated garden outside or smthg and tries to eat him (take his blood and stuff), and this girl in his class that is always seen sleeping comes and rescues him by blowing up the vampire gir...

@Maroon just want to point out that out of the 3 Great Magus Families who always try to participate in the war none of them are "native" japanese, infact the Tohsaka's are probably the closest as they were originally *"Hidden Christians that lived inside a then foreigners-intolerant Japan"* though i am assuming they were foreigners back then rather than adopting foreigner traditions while still being Japanese (also the Tohsaka mansion is Western)

Obviously the Einzberns are German as that's where the main castle is located. the Makiri/Matou are Russian but were chased out. they claim their
@Memor-X Actually, this brings up a good point. Maybe we should cap the maximum number of unposted images a single user can have in the bot at a time, to prevent users from skewing the images too much in one direction and to force people to pick high-quality images.
@Hakase How possible would it be to add something like that? For now I'd say the limit could be pretty generous, maybe 1000 per person. Probably not many people other than me are going to get that many.
