@ʞɹɐzǝɹ if you have to pay to view the videos in the first place i doubt it because where a service would get 10 people to pay for the episode each rabb.it can reduce that so you just have the one master account. surprised it hasn't been shut down for "propagating piracy" given that from what i read you can visit any site with it meaning it can visit illegal sites
@Memor-X first off, you don't pay per episode, you pay per subscription. Given it's a bit gray right now, it's technically the same as inviting ppl over to watch them
@ʞɹɐzǝɹ by "pay for the episode each" i did mean the subscription. probably bad wording there, should have maybe has said movie given your more likely to pay the subscription just to see one movie...like i was when i was tempted to get Netflix just to see Thor: The Dark World before Avengers 2....then i realized i had Wikis
@Sakamoto Have to wonder if anyone actually tried reverse image searching i.imgur.com/vp3IsXq.jpg. I don't get anything useful on any of the sites I use for that image.
@HoiHoi-san yeh but Trap is normally used for guys falling for girls who are actually guys. in "crap-tastic Futanari found in porno where it's just a Bishōnen dressed as a girl" my friend has said it's an attempt to create lesbianism in heterosexual couples which honestly is deceptive
also is that really you @HoiHoi-san or is @ton.yeung talking through you again
yeh, just wondering cause Day of the Doctor Movie was aired in Ballarat and Melborune but the latest Studio Ghibli Film WHEN MARNIE WAS THERE is only being shown in Melborune, was wondering weather Anime was more Niche than Dr Who which would be the reason why there's so screenings in Ballarat. not enough ticket sales
@ton.yeung you checked RighStuf? i'm assuming it's the same collection i was bitching about that Madman is selling down here
@ton.yeung well i don't have access to RightStuf at work and even with a proxy it's search is screwly so i can't search, otherwise i'm assuming this is the collection but that's in Australia and i don't know if Madman exports (why would they?)
@ton.yeung was it a video store she loaned it from or a friend?
@ton.yeung well i wouldn't say entirely screwed. if it's out of print she could get the latest collection which i would assume has more movies...though that said i don't think it has "From Up on Poppy Hill" which is one of the films i think i can id from the cover.
I only find the last part of the music any good, the rest kinda sinks - which actually works OK in the video, but not when you listen to only the music
I'm fine with Taisho posting pics. But I agree, they should be of multiple genders (guys too, that is), and even have some that have no genders, and above all, all be SFW.
though i've just been accepting them all as anime backdrops since the first one was of Howl's Castle, and since they've all been the same size so i assumed added by the same person
though they are alot bigger when you click on them
@LoganM so if i understand the guide correctly (did a quick skim though) we don't upload to your google drive but use our own hosting service which meets the requirements you mention (which as you said google drive is the better option) and give @Taisho the links to the _thump files (preferably though a pastepin url)
I remember that the model's/actor's manager made him go to high school. But he already knew some guys in that school. They were a group of rich kids and a belive one was the principal's son. One of his classmates is assigned to show him the school or something like that.
I think the model/actor w...
I'm fairly certain by viewership statistics, Doctor Who is more niche.
Then just say Ghibli films. If you're comparing anime to Doctor Who, Doctor Who is definitely more niche.
And given further explanation, should also add an extra constraint on location. Doctor Who is somewhat more popular (really depends on location) than Studio Ghibli in Europe and Australia (the latter perhaps moreso given the more direct British influence).
Baccarat is in France, so I guess Ghibli itself is a bit more niche than Doctor Who in that locality.
Not necessarily. Strictly speaking a vocaloid is just a brand of software, but the core of that is a voice bank that has different pronunciations at different pitches and lengths.
But a lot of vocaloids (not all) sound similar to a "real" singer with autotune.
In simplest terms, it is software that takes a digitized human voice and allows you to use that voice in making music. the term is also applied to a synthetic singer/vocal artist created using the software
You know those pianos/keyboards you can punch a button and get a human-like "AH" sound? it's like that but much more complex. they take a human singer and sample their voice. a lot of samples. then these samples are used in the software to create music. you program in the notes/melody and the words, and the software takes the voice samples to create a human sounding vocal track
The extension of this is to use the Vocaloid software to create an actual full performance with no real person. Hatsune Miku is a prime example of this. Miku's voice is actually the Japanese voice actress, Saki Fujita. her voice was sampled and put into the Vocaloid software
programmers then created full songs from the sampled voice. along with the voice, the people that owned the rights created an anime style look to the Hatsune Miku, even creating a history (birthdate, height, weight, etc)
@LoganM there are ""photos" which are taken by matetures who think their professional just because their smartphone as a crapy little camera with it and then there are photos done by people who know what they are doing on proper $700 cameras
@Memor-X Eh, smartphone cameras are starting to become just as good as a dedicated point-and-shoot. Granted, it's still not going to match up to a DSLR, but "potato quality" is becoming less and less of a thing.
@Yuuki i said Anime at first then filtered down to ghibli because as i said Ballarat had a Dr Who Movie screened in the cinemas but neither the new ghibli or Puella Magi Madoka Magica Rebellion did so i was wondering which was more niche because more niche = less potental ticket sales
@Memor-X I'm neither. I have a cheap $100 digital camera. It's better than what most phones come with, but definitely not enough that my photos look anywhere near professional.
@Yuuki yeh but most people who own a smart phone nowadays think themselves professional and take selfies of themselves and the sunset behind them or images of their food
@LoganM well i was going off Australian prices, when i was 13 i could get a decent cheap one for $200 but on the catalog i saw for JB Hi Fi the cheapest they showed was $700
@Yuuki yeh but do you post them on Facebook with your 2,000 "friends" on your friends list expecting people to be at aww of your mad skilz with your camera? or do you take the photos to preserve the memory and share with "real" friends
For me, I never really want to look at 3D images, so it's good enough for me if I can tell what it's an image of. I only take a few pictures per year anyway.
> "Did he use magic to change his body to diamond?" > "Nope. We don't have magic, just superpowers derived from science. He changed his body into diamond."
@ton.yeung no idea. but the battle system is vastly improved in the sequal so maybe they realized there was faults in it and bundled it with the second game to improve experiance
for instance, the battle system was quite slow in the first one and in battles where you are forced into your Knight and had to fight a Giant Montser (eg. a Gigas) by yourself, if you ran out of MP you get reverted back and forced to try and resummon it, all by youself. so you had to go into boss battles with a large amount of MP recovery items to stay in your Knight.
in the sequal not only does your basic attack not cost MP any more but in said forced battles you have unlimited time in your Knight so even if you used up all your MP you wont revert and can still attack. there is also the addition to sidequests which weren't multipsler only and the multiplayer you can now solo with your singleplayer party rather than all by yourself
@ton.yeung i would recommended it but as i said get the second game.
Earlier today I was involved in a conversation on Stack Overflow which resulted in two users, Julia Anne Jacobs, being suspended.
The timeline from my perspective is:
Julia posted an answer to this question about Angular.
Another user, who may remain nameless for the purposes of this conversat...
It's honestly a bit funny that someone whose display name is literally hatred of one sex is complaining about sexism. I thought that level of hypocrisy was constrained to Tumblr and 4chan.
hold on, where does the Sexism factor in? from what i understand of the question it has nothing to do with it but rather asking why a user was suspended, or is there an assumption that Sexism is involved because affected person is a girl?
The only place where I thought there was any connection to sexism was when they said that the name "Concerned Father" is a bit patronizing, and honestly that's kind of reaching for straws.
She's the persistent troll I was talking about the other day. Never posts anything single thing that's flag-worthy, but subtly insults and annoys everyone at every opportunity she can get.
It doesn't come up often, so I also don't know, but from what I remember, it will create an automatic flag if a single user is kicked several times from the same room within a certain period of time (by anyone), and also if a single owner kicks several times in a certain period of time. Individual kicks don't get reported though.
That's just based on what I remember from when Shog proposed the system, so there might be some changes.
I think if it's a persistently problematic user and the other room owners also agree with that judgement, the mods should side with the room owners in that situation and ideally issue some chat suspension to the troll user.
@Memor-X Yes, the problem is that she never posts any single thing that is flag worthy. So if a mod comes to me and asks me why am I kicking the same person multiple times, I would need to go into the chat history and dig up the numerous subtle/context-sensitive minor offenses that culminate in me actually kicking the person.
That's a lot of work for only one problematic user.
In the past she was banned multiple times by mods. But she's learned to not post single messages that are flag/ban worthy.
IOW, "walking the fine line" as I mentioned the other day.
@animuson, if your definition of "already defused" includes being OK with one of the parties still feeling that their concerns had not been taken seriously, you may want to revisit what the outcome of an effective arbitration process looks like. One of the keys is for every participant to agree the process was fair and impartial (even if they're not happy with the outcome), not just the "winners" and the arbitrators. "They didn't agree the process was fair to them, so I kicked them out immediately" is neither fair, nor impartial. — ncoghlan1 min ago
I thought it would be over with the suspension, but apparently not.
