I've been hearing from a neighbour that he's had one since 2007

price was about twice as much as 100mbps back then

or so he said

I can't find any trustworthy isps with gigabit plans

there are a few who say "up to" which means "maybe sometimes, but rarely"

I'm not sure it will make torrents download any faster though

it's already pretty fast at 100mbps and there has to be some ramp-up period to connect to all high-speed peers

yesterday I downloaded the first movie of nolan's batman trilogy in about 4 minutes, the first 2 of which it was warming up and updating trackers to get connected

so gigabit wouldn't really change much for ordinary users

unless you seed like crazy

but then it makes more sense to get several additional 100mbps for a discount, just talk to your ISP, I'm sure you'll figure out a good deal

what I'm saying is characters may change too much like they usually do in shows that are aimed at a wide audience for drama, but they can also change too little, which I consider a failure in psychological genre storywriting, unless it was the intended effect which is a bit unexpected for an anime series
