@Avery cheers for the extension, works nice :)
Also, I seem to be able to access Stack Imgur right now

I'm on vpn

@Gallifreyan reminder that twitter oneboxes now include images

@Avery @Hakase seems to have problems with those, so...

hm

7:10 PM
Just finished reading Overload v12. It's meh. Many new characters, weak story, and it's only the first part of an arc.
Meanwhile Dungeon Defense v5c1 was translated. I hope it would be as great as the previous volumes.

7:36 PM
I don't really like initial d but the soundtrack is quite nice tbh

7:59 PM
Created a repo on Bitbucket for our Arduino project
And even used terminal to push a commit
This is so cool

@Gallifreyan WHY BITBUCKETE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAaa
IT SUCKS SO MUCH
USE GITLAB IF YOU WANT FREE PRIVATE REPOS

Why does it suck? :'(

it just didn't work well last time I used it
also UI was confusing

Nah, works ok so far
I only need it for fun, in case me or my teammate break something
With a misplaced semicolon

what are y'all developing anyways

8:02 PM
What kind of sadistic bastard makes a language use semicolons and 0-based indexing?

@Gallifreyan please tell me that you're joking

Not at all

because if you're not I'll find you and i'll come to your door and ring the door and if you let me in I'll lecture you about how you're wrong

shivers

bitbucket works just fune

Hehe :D
Idk what this has to do with anime or manga, but okay

also @gal if you really hate 0-based indexing then you can use lua.
it does have semicolons, but it's 1-based
@Dimitrimx we developed a game engine for fun and used bitbucket and it was so much pain

I don't hate it, I just find it confusing and unnatural

well, I find 1-based indexing confusing and unnatural
but I guess you'll get used in time?
but yeah, what are y'all developing

8:14 PM
Nothing much, just a car that would navigate a maze

"nothing much"

It's not really development, as with libraries it's only ~180 lines

how big is the resulting binary?
arduinos are usually tiiiny

Binary?

like I'm working with these interesting stuff now and they're like 5kb?

8:16 PM
If you want an exotic taste, have a look at Rebol

Our .ino is 3.3kb right now

@Gallifreyan basically the thing and the libs gets compiled into asm before they get uploaded
the size of asm is the thing that matters
but yeah I just checked
> 8k Flash Memory (about 6k after bootloader)
this is the current thing I'm dealing with

> the size [...] is the thing that matters

(I have like a dozen of these)
actually no apparently I have 5
@Avery I mean if it fits then it should be fine but eh, doesn't hurt to be careful

starbaity x3

8:21 PM
thanks, I tried.

WTF does it mean "not declared in this scope"

the message iss pretty clear

Hrm

in other news I lost my esp8266

8:32 PM
nvm, apparently it was in my wallet

"invalid use of void expression"

also self-explanatory :)

HELL YEAH IT COMPILED
> Sketch uses 5762 bytes (17%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 366 bytes (17%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1682 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.
Gud

@Gallifreyan that's nice.

Now I gotta adapt it for L293 library, and then make it use no libraries at all
Otherwise it looks like our project will end prematurely

8:39 PM
premature ending is no fun.

I wouldn't know about that :P

8:59 PM
also yeah I have like a ton of ESP8266s and this one has the controversial deauther (which works fine). It's not like I have a good use for it but it's a good convo starter at times.
