I suppose it hasn't been done because it's not convenient
it's like putting 4 different pen cartridges inside one fat pen
it works but it's kinda inconvenient
for example you only really need the blue ink one and occasionally a red, but the other two are unused and just take up space and fatten up the pen which is not as convenient to hold as if it were a separate regular pen
same with combining different types of discussion posts
you'd rather just be on a chat or just a forum
you can graft some orange branches on an apple tree but separate trees would probably be more convenient to grow
(actually I don't think you can, since citrus trees require a pretty different fertilizer mixes)
but then the harvest from both would be smaller than from separate trees coz there's only one shaft
that's what I'm saying − they may make it work but the community will probably be weird and small
you can't just infinitely graft branches onto a tree shaft and expect it to bear infinite fruit
the bandwidth is limited by the roots
we can make these tree analogies all day
I guess we'll see what happens to the site
I'm not after proving anything, I'm just sharing my thoughts on what has usually happened in my experience and what might happen
as a side note, are you growing any plants or trees?
I have some citrus bushes in pots and a few balcony tomatoes currently starting to grow a second harvest
this is all gonna take some serious window sill space when the cold times come
I can it's just my apartment is pretty small and I don't have spare money to spend on plant growing lamps
also it's all purely decorative
I'll probably have some other plants in their place next year
last year was mint, the years before that it was chili peppers
idk what will be next yet
it gets huge fast and you can't drown it
hmm berries sound like a good idea
