Here is the story. The hero is a boy who likes a girl that ends up being a witch. When she is in trouble he tries to rescue her but get beamed to a spaceship by another girl who needs his help. Before he can help her he gets summoned to another plasnet to fight an overlord dragon who is immune to...
@ton.yeung A single coated dog's hair needs some form of grooming, but regular trimming should be sufficient. Shaving isn't so bad though in that case.
I have searched all over for an answer to this and there doesn't seem to be a satisfactory answer to me. One theory says that it's a light offensive joke aimed at Americans, a subtle way of calling us dicks because of how it's usually only offensive material that are censored on TV. Another theor...
Anyway I suspect what happened is that someone used よわい to indicate that Kurisu isn't great with chopsticks, possibly even the interview you linked itself. Someone else used a machine translation of this and misinterpreted it. Then they posted it somewhere that I saw it.
The protagonist enters a story and becomes the replacement for the original protagonist of that story. After each arc, he uses an element of a previous story in order to solve the current story's world's problems. It's still quite new so it should be under 50 chapters.
Yes, I do, well not serious, per se, but I do tend to forget things that are not that important
Since I hadn't used lastpass yet for any passwords, I didn't think it would be worth it to remember to reset the password
Now I can't remember if lastpass required you to use capital letters, special characters or didn't allow more than one of the same character in a row in the password
Because if it did, I would not have used any combination of passwords I use right now
Because I have 4 passwords of which I combine 3 when I make a new password
Well, I've added an alarm in my phone to reset my password when I get home :P
@ToshinouKyouko The cons I go to are usually 18-30 ish mostly and some older or younger, though that was on friday... I was not able to go on saturday, when most of the kids would probably go... And it's in Holland, where anime is possibly not quite as big as it is in America, because we only have mainstream anime dubbed in dutch on tv
Where I live, the convention scene is predominantly teenagers around 16/17. As I get older, I feel more out of place. I'm only 22, so I'm not old at all, but everyone else is so much more energetic and there aren't many people my age left. There are still attendees older than myself, but the numb...
as well as there not being very many twenties in our cons, the ones that are there are already in their own clique-y group, so they don't make it very easy to mix in :(
I don't know how it is there, but if you want to make friends, wouldn't asking for a picture with one of the cosplayers help break the ice? Especially if you dress up yourself and it's from the same manga or something?
Since introducing the guidelines for ID requests, I feel that the quality of 'memory'-based requests have gone up somewhat.
However, there are still a lot of requests that are image-only, such as What is this shoujo manga? *pic included* or Could someone help me to identify these girls? , which ...
@PeterRaeves From what I hear anime (mainstream anime like AOT, pokemon, SAO, Death Note) got pretty big there among the middle school and high school kids, so the logical result of that is a lot of younger people going to cons because the 'cool' anime is on, some dressed up as their favorite character, meaning there's an even bigger surge of the same cosplay
@ToshinouKyouko Haha, there werre still a few around last con I went to, but not nearly as many as there were AOT cosplays xD I've almost finished my own cosplay :P It's not nearly as flashy or recognisable, but I like it :P
@ToshinouKyouko That was me too the first few months, then I just told myself to go through with it, instead of just dropping it halfway through like I do most of the time
There were a few things I was wondering whether they would be considered ontopic here. So instead of making a meta question for this, I'll ask it here ^^.
I read somewhere that Manhwa would be considered on-topic, so that got me thinking. If Korean cartoons are on topic, then what about other countries' cartoons and comics, since there is no cartoon SE as far as I know?
And what about the specific country's culture? Japanese culture questions are allowed, since they might be related to a certain manga and as far as I know, these questions don't even need to be directly related to any manga or anime at all to be on-topic.
So since manhwa are allowed, would therefore Korean culture questions be allowed too and if other countries' cartoons are allowed then would their culture be on-topic too? Should these cultural questions be related to any kind of comic or cartoon at least?
@PeterRaeves I think manwha are allowed because they are also asian cartoon/comics, I don't know if American/European/African cartoons/comics are also allowed
Though I'm probably not the right person to be answering this as I am also still quite new to this SE, it's just my take on this :P
Ok thanks. What about what cartoons are allowed? Japanese and Korean are allowed, any other? Maybe Chinese? But I guess Western cartoons aren't allowed?
Note: My viewpoint is roughly the same as Madara's, so if you want the tl;dr read his post. I've tried to expand on where exactly the boundaries should be in my view.
I think this is a matter of two different viewpoints. If you think this site should focus on anime and manga as artistic media, t...
I was thinking of cosplaying Kirito (GGO) when I finish the wig for my current cosplay. You guys think many people will be doing this? I guess if anyone would, it would most likely be girls/women, since it's almost crossdressing xD
Mmm, when does this chat wake up usually? Last time I was here and there was more than one message per 5 minutes, was at 4 pm (my time) =/ Is this chat mostly US-based?
@ToshinouKyouko I only gave a +1 because I liked the concept. Never really tried it myself. But I guess it would be a great way to break the ice.
@ToshinouKyouko If Additionally they'd have maid cafes in the Netherlands, I'd hop on the train and give it a go lol. I have never understood why we never adapted that part in our conventions. We all know we all want it and it would make the convention a ton of money.
I saw this anime about 7 years ago, i don't really know what its about but,
in the first episode there was this naked guy who had an elephant instead of normal genitals
and he shot magic lasers out of it to make other people naked. And the second episode was about macho's being possesed be dogs o...
How AR can be seen in real life and how it takes over another body and mind is answered in the first part of the trilogy chaos;head. Its the tech nozomi corp are developing with thd noah2
@ToshinouKyouko I don't really have much to say in these events, but all the ones I went to, didn't even have professional cosplayers to attract costumers. Which surprised me, since as you say, it's rather easy to organize. I wonder if the maid-cafe concept would be culturally unacceptable here (Belgium)
Since we are on the tag subject. I'd like to add, why are Dragonball and Dragonball Z synonyms? Since they clearly cover a totally different part of the manga. If this came from the idea where people just refer to DBZ and DB all just the same, then why isn't DB not a synonym of DBGT too?
TIL If pooping is uncomfortable, go see a doctor. Because once it becomes (very) painful and you have hemorrhoids, you'll need surgery to be cured. And that surgery is expensive. And will require at least a week to recover.
This is definitely one of the weirder manga that I've read.
This discussion is motivated by Sad anime about a poor boy and his dog.

As you can see in the title and from the xxxHOLiC and Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE Anime News Network Pages pages, the titles for these 2 use mixed casing, on the wikipedia page they have the japanese name translated as

Ginyoku no Fam ("Fam, the Silver Wing") is the sequel to Last Exile. Is the former (fam-the-silver-wing) sufficiently different from the latter (last-exile) as to warrant a separate tag? My sense is no, based on plot synopses, but I haven't watched either of these shows.
In How to Use: XIII, in the second point it says
The god of Death always remains with the owner of the Death Note.
indicating that a Shinigami will remain with the owner of their Death Note, Light learns this and gathers a group of friends to try and hide himself with Ryuk following him whe...
Some years ago I found this really great depressing anime and I have not recorded it's name. It was build as a series of stories each really independent from the rest. Not like arcs but actual independent stories. And one of those stories has ever sense staid with me as the the most depressing th...
