@Feeds That was real good. I had no idea that the ghosts' AI was so sophisticated and that it influenced so many games.

Man, the GDQ FF8 drama was dumb and I'm pretty sure only was corrected due to outcry

@Veskah What did I miss?

Oh, 3 dudes submitted FF8 as a co-op run. Two guys send a Vod, one guy sends footage from where they did the run for RPGLB (he didn't play in that one, just commentary). Run gets approved.
~Day later, they get emailed that 3rd guy didn't submit correctly and can't be a runner because the only PB guy could find was 5 minutes over estimate and that he needed to submit a run. Other two guys can still run and 3rd guy can come as couch commentator
Guys panic, asking what they could do or if he could submit a new run (which he eventually does and bangs out a run thats 5 minutes lower) but GDQ guy basically says "rules is rules, sorry" and then ghosts them for like a week
So the other two guys say "nah, fuck this. We ain't running", queue it up reddit drama, and then GDQ says "Oh, we're sorry. He can run"
Haven't checked into the aftermath but it was pretty dumb all around

I feel like I agree with GDQ up until the let him after posting on reddit

yeah... I mean except for accepting the run in the first place.

I mean, you don't ghost either. But sticking to rules sounds fine to me
oh sure, but I can chalk that up to a mistake.

@DJMcMayhem This was pretty interesting!
@DJMcMayhem Finally watched this and I agree, really interesting to see how much implicit knowledge there is in video games as a whole.
