well, Dota has a steep (though not as steep as before) learning curve, and good players will need fast reflexes and precise clicks. There's also strategy as well, but like in FPS, its generally the same from game to game
right. Game to game you make small tweaks, but completely new, viable strategies are hard to come up with (thought they do appear and change the meta, which is great)
Yeah there are still about 10% of games that carries play vastly different ways. And every support hero has huge carry potential (3k bro plays carry omni, i played semi-carry lion)
yep. Unfortunately, to get good, you not only need to learn the UI and basic items, but you also need to know your opponent's skills because they will be played on you
@MistahFiggins yep. They have a specific mode where it is limited to 25, so that helps. You can also play against bots, but they only play certain heroes
@MistahFiggins Since SF gets 12 souls off one hero and techies has 3 people. Therefore techies has 1/3 of a brain (since soul count is based of intelligence since creeps have 1 soul)
Auto attack is continued attacks that are auto done. Last hitting is the art of manually hitting a creep one time for gold (sometimes 2 if dealing with towers)
like, of all of the micro heroes he is the easiest, and he's got some crazy awesome abilities, but I really struggle to earn money at the start, and I never end up being a threat
One thing I like about OW as opposed to TF2 is that when you come across a dva or a tracer, etc. you know exactly what they can do. If you come across a scout, you don;t know if he can triple jump or not, whether he can bleed you with the guillotine or blast you away with the force of nature. He could do all 3 at once.
Serious play doesn't use unlocks to that extent, and the classes that do are either fundamental items (sandvich, boston basher) or specialists and the unlocks create well defined easily distinguishable classes (gunsligner, shields)
