@RevelationLad Thanks for your explanation. FWIW, I actually answered without up-voting (and still have not), for that reason. As I stated in my comments (which were deleted after OP deleted his comments to which they were a response), I thought it was a great question with an unnecessarily provocative title, so I elected to provide my rebuttal to the title in the form of an answer.
I did suggest changing that part at the time I answered it; however, because it wasn't offensive, I did't feel a need to insist that it be changed against OP's will.
@RevelationLad I definitely don't have the time or energy to make myself responsible for providing constructive feedback in response to every unconstructive comment. Sorry.
@RevelationLad I wasn't really agreeing with anything. Here again, I just don't have the time to moderate every comment. In the future, if you really want a moderator to consider something and render a decision, consider raising a flag. (The only flag on the history of that question is the one raised by another user alerting the mods to OP's comment in chat requesting that his title stand. That's how I got involved.)
@RevelationLad Brian Weingard's comments were public all along, though I did make it more likely that people would see it by linking to it. Sorry about that; I originally avoided doing so but when you indicated that OP wanted to wait I didn't see another way to explain how it was that OP had so clearly stated his preference for the amended title. (Also, as noted above, that was honestly the reason I got involved in the first place.) I have now deleted that whole set of comments.
In general, if the OP prefers a particular wording and there's nothing either offensive or off topic about it, I do think that should stand, which is why I agreed with OP prevent you from changing it.
As for my failure to ask Brian not to make comments in chat about you disliking him -- even if I knew it to be completely untrue, moderating truthfulness in chat is just beyond what I consider to be the scope of my moderator duties, and I really have no desire to be part of the argument between you two.
(I hope you can see that that's quite different from responding when asked to prevent you from forcing a change in OP's preferred wording on the main site.) Since it's evidently offensive to you, however, I have now removed that as well. I would encourage you to chat with Brian directly if you feel he is misrepresenting your intent.

I guess I can sort of see, from your your perspective, that it would feel unfair that a moderator got involved only at this phase of your argument with Brian, to reverse something you see as part of a larger issue where you feel like you were wronged at several earlier phases. Please understand that moderators (at least this one) are not equipped to intervene at every phase of an argument.
If there is something on the main site such as an "edit war" and somebody flags it for our attention, we look at it and render a decision. Otherwise, it largely flies under the radar.
Anyway, if you feel I have been negligent, unreasonable, or otherwise acting unacceptably in this matter, let me know and I can have another moderator or a community team member take a look at it.

@Susan Thank you. I was clearly in the wrong in trying to keep the change from being made. If you had not stepped in would have continued to change it back. I was frustrated with Brian because he attacked me for my DV because of the title and his chat comments were another attack and misleading about his feelings about the title. The comment he posted to curiousdannii made it seem like he was willing to let the bounty expire, but obviously he changed his mind.

@Susan If you are able I would like this room to be closed/removed. Thanks. Again I am sorry for my actions and hope you will forgive me.

Susan has unfrozen this room.
@RevelationLad No worries. I will freeze it.
