Yeah.... It was a disaster for Biden. He was tripping over his words, correcting himself, he wasn't sure about his own policies, and he sometimes even couldn't find his words anymore
It actually went so badly that apparently the DNC is panicking and might even want a different candidate
Biden is the "not Trump" vote and what people need is an actual alternative. and by those people i mean the ones who don't just blindly vote for Trump because he's repeating the same shit (read that Trump is threatening to lock Biden up.....like he did with Hilary)
Okay, I just watched the first question and I don't think I can take much more of that debate. Biden talks really weak and frail and Trump is just talking bullshit, but with a stronger voice. It doesn't make sense what he says, but I don't think that matters
One huge problem is that this makes all the attacks on Biden's age much more effective, and they were plenty effective already before the debate. It's a narrative Biden won't be able to shake
@MadScientist This has always been Trump's greatest strength as a candidate. Everything he says is bullshit, but he says it loudly and confidently that people that don't actually understand the issues (aka half of America) believe him.
The climate is the thing that scares me the most as a non-us citizen about Trump winning. The US doing nothing to fight climate change, or worse, actively trying to make it worse, will fuck us all.
I'm firmly and unapologetically on Team Old Man, but boy, that was not an impressive performance, especially at the beginning. Biden got a bit better in the second half, and Trump started rambling a bit more, but if you didn't know that everything Trump said was an outright lie, you might think he won the debate
yep, and with 0 fact-checking by the moderators. "President Trump, thanks for all those lies; you have 49 more seconds, would you like to add more lies to that pile?"
@Jolenealaska A lot of people are very close to it. It's one of the reasons why I don't understand the complete lack of empathy so many people have for homeless people.
