@TimStone i think people like Hannity would say any QAnon shit if it defends the God Emperor

12:50 AM
@Memor-X clears throat

@GodEmperorDune yeh, i should say the fake news God Emperor

1:38 AM
House Intelligence Committee member Mike Quigley also now in support of impeachment proceedings

@TimStone yeh but no matter how many Democrats support it, it'll take bipartisan support and unless some of the GOP grow a backbone or realize that Trump is going to cost them their jobs in the next election it's going to fail
and Trump probably thinks also that he'll be able to Veto an impeachment
@TimStone Gameficiation

the employee is most likely using an updated version of Paperboy

1:56 AM
I remember that game

2 hours later…
3:33 AM
Apparently having turbines makes it hard to train pilots for flying low in terrain which raises a number of questions

4:31 AM
@TimStone excellent, we now know how to defeat the US Air Force, by going Green and creating Wind Farms all over the country
next you're going to say that the Army doesn't like Solar Power because it's hard to maneuver tanks

@Nzall not sure, i heard about this on our ABC News and the person talking about it said something about him being jailed for life for lying which seems really weird and might have been a joke. but i don't know if UK Parliament is like Australia's where you can't serve if you have a criminal conviction even if said conviction occurs after you taking office
ok, it seems like it might not be a joke that Borris could get life in prison

A: Is it legal in the UK for politicians to lie to the public for political gain?

LagWe're going to find out, in Ball v Johnson. This case is a private prosecution of Boris Johnson for alleged misconduct in public office (as MP and Mayor of London - two public offices). Misconduct in public office is a criminal offence with a maximum punishment of life imprisonment. The alleged m...

to quote the link in that answer
> Principle
Scope of the offence
Misconduct in public office is an offence at common law triable only on indictment. It carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. It is an offence confined to those who are public office holders and is committed when the office holder acts (or fails to act) in a way that constitutes a breach of the duties of that office.
so if lying = Misconduct in public office then holy crap

facedesks repeatedly Fuck america, people are collaborating to DIY a supply of insulin because of the pricegouging that isn't being stopped boingboing.net/2019/05/29/small-batch-biologicals.html

10:54 AM
@Kevin similar things are being done for hrt fwiw

That's not better =p

11:20 AM
The good news is insulin is incredibly cheap to synthesize
And has been for a century
Imagine the local news headline

Yeahp
There's a reason I specified america

INSPIRING: local man can't afford medicine necessary to continue living, so local university students help by making it themselves

INSPIRING: Congress forces companies to not murder people by reducing the profits they are allowed to get to only 50% of revenue

although at least this time it isn't "we built a makeshift walker that is nowhere close to actual medical device quality" or whatever
the best system we have

11:26 AM
Anarchist medicine like this owns though, from an "if the system refuses to provide us well being, we will create well being for ourselves" standpoint anyway

2 hours later…
1:27 PM
The AG's approach is apparently "Look, we all die 🤷🏼‍♂️", which uhhhh

2:34 PM
@TimStone Why is this a bad thing? If it's that more corn will be used for non-food purposes, I agree with that, but there are other concerns I don't necessarily agree with.

2:45 PM
I'm not well-researched on the topic but in my limited understanding there's not a particularly compelling use for ethanol, which is why it's been propped up by federal subsidies and a mandate on its use
So it just creates another corn dependency for funsies
If I remember correctly this came around in part because of the fuel crises in the 70's? Where we were like "lol the Middle East has to sell us fuel" and OPEC turned around and said "Actually"

3:29 PM
@TimStone Adding it to gasoline does mean the gas burns cleaner and emits less (total and net) CO2.
I am against monoculture farming, but corn is a monoculture only because of industrial ethanol production.

That's true even when factoring in the reduced MPG efficiency?

3:44 PM
@TimStone I believe so. It's definitely cleaner, and should emit less net CO2. I may be wrong on total CO2.
Hmm, I may have to reconsider my position.

4:07 PM
Due to Trump's tariffs the dollar stores are going…less dollar-y

4:27 PM
Having to cancel your announcement of ending a carbon tax because your province is literally on fire is uh, a little on the nose

they tried to still do it but everyone on stage couldn't stop coughing
because of all the smoke

1 hour later…
5:56 PM
(but also a lot of people have died this year, in part due to overcrowding)

6:07 PM
@TimStone The headline totally makes her sound like a secret murderer or something

@TimStone TBF, she hiked to base camp, which is only at ~5000m elevation.

Ah, right, I got distracted from that part of the tweet by the rest of it and misrepresented

@MBraedley Which is still cool, but yeah, @TimStone is MISLEADING US AGAIN
Base camp for reference
2016 one anyways.
ALso, it's amazing we live in an age where these are things that exist:

6:47 PM
Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
> a letter used to guarantee the lease was forged
Amazing
So there was 8 co-champions of the spelling bee and pretty surprisingly they are all getting the full prize money

7:08 PM
I'm still sorta shocked that apparently, being good at English is something they compete for

user15026
@TimStone That is awesome.

@Nzall I mean to be fair English is an abomination so conquering it is impressive :P

Then again, there's a yearly contest of who's the best at dictation (the stuff the students do, not the teachers)

7:27 PM
Frank Lucas, noted drug kingpin and subject of American Gangster, has died
@TimStone Mexico's response to this is tariffs that specifically target Trump-supporting states, which was so easy to see coming

8:10 PM
The Flynn voicemail is extremely "crimes? what crimes?"
Imagine saying that on a recording lmfao
John Dowd buddy
Trump is awarding the Presidential Medal of Freedom to a campaign advisor who wrote a book about him
Worth noting that a decent chunk of that voicemail had been published in the Mueller report already but tbh I think we need the actual recording released for people to appreciate the full weaseliness of that message

2 hours later…
10:17 PM
lmfao I know that we've discussed the merits of Comic Sans in here before
BUT!
It does seem kind of weird to reply to your super embarrassing voicemail transcript, which shouldn't have even existed, in Comic Sans, in a Notes-eqsue app
Well, that it was commercial wasn't that surprising, but

user15026
@GodEmperorDune omg yay

user15026
I know the article says infant mortality is high but oh this is so hopeful

11:04 PM
I'm curious whether the judge will smack them down for not publishing everything he requested

11:17 PM
> “At one point, Jared Kushner, Mr. Trump’s son-in-law, who has been positioning himself as the unofficial campaign manager, pushed the idea of recreating Mr. Trump’s descending escalator ride at Trump Tower, but that idea was rejected...”

11:33 PM
lol I appreciate that he didn't even bother to try an original thought
