@Wipqozn Yes, but involuntary manslaughter is typically a charge leveled at the individuals directly responsible for the death, like a person driving a car while intoxicated.
The proximate cause, so to speak.
Or at least, that's my understanding of involuntary manslaughter.

"clearly established" is always fun, especially here, since it basically gives the government a mulligan

@Ash My understanding is that the Court imposed deadlines on the DOJ to produce certain briefings. The DOJ attempted to delay/pause these deadlines, citing the government shutdown. The Court notes that the DOJ's Office for Immigration Review has 48% of its employees exempted from the shutdown as well as 91% of CBP and 81% of ICE.
And therefore, due to these numbers, cannot be reasonably hampered by the shutdown.
Correction, this is with regards to a current suit on Trump's asylum rule changes.
