@BradC the Coast Guard has suspended search and rescue efforts for 6 workers still not accounted for. It is now a search and recovery operation given the length of the search and the temperature of the water.

@Wipqozn I bet you didn't know that you could get the entire New Testament narrated by James Earl Jones with one audible credit!

Really? TIL.

The funny thing is, I've actually owned it for years.

I've maybe listened to 15 minutes of it.

Yeah, I don't like most audiobooks either.

2:29 AM
I love audiobooks, but not even the narration of James Earl Jones could keep my interest for a straight-up biblical reading

Sure he has a "deep resonant voice that he uses for great effect," but that, to me, is not reading something for yourself.

Anything to make a buck.

Utah coach says her team had to switch hotels after racist attacks during NCAA Tournament nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/…
> One athletics official said people drove up to the team in trucks and yelled the N-word.
> University of Utah’s women’s basketball coach said her team was the target of a series of “racial hate crimes” after arriving in Idaho for the NCAA Tournament last week. The incidents prompted the team to change hotels for the sake of their safety, she said.
Idaho is a racist shithole apparently. Must've been one of those shithole countries Trump talked about years ago.

Renters' Bill of Rights' among new measures in upcoming budget: Trudeau ctvnews.ca/politics/…
> The federal government will create a new "Canadian Renters’ Bill of Rights," which would require landlords to disclose their properties’ rental price history to prospective tenants.
If that's all it does, then it does nothing at all
> The incoming “Bill of Rights” aims to empower renters to “bargain fairly.”
You don't bargain your rent. That just isn't a thing with the housing shortage we're under.
All this does is highlight how absurdly disconnected the liberals are from the average person
> Alongside it, Trudeau promised a $15-million fund for legal aid services to “protect tenants against unfairly rising rent payments, renovictions, or bad landlords.”
So this COULD be good, except for the fact the tenancy board often lacks any real teeth. They need to be empowered to actually punish bad landlords appropriately.

@Wipqozn Also, housing is the responsibility of provincial governments.
