What I find funny about 'putting trump back on by force' is that the people for it say 'its to not get a totalitarian government from biden'.

Yep, putting an unelected president in power by force is NOT how you start a totalitarian government. Totally not.

Well this was lovely in my inbox this morning: Homicides up 30 percent in largest increase on record, FBI says

6:34 PM
In other (not quite) news: I'm on the mend from Covid. Sick as hell for 3 days but it never got scary. Three cheers for Moderna.

yeah thats what i heard with getting covid after the vaccine its that it becomes, at most, a very bad cold

@Fredy31 There are still some vaccinated people who need to be hospitalized, but that's like 1/4000
And generally they don't even need ventilation

It was worse than a bad cold. More like tied for the worst flu I've ever had. But, after 3 days I could beat it back with Nyquil.

@Jolenealaska And, more importantly, you didn't take a hospital bed for the time you were sick
thats the huge problem; people getting so sick with covid that they take all the limited ressource of hospital beds, so those hospital beds can be used for other sick people
Tentions are high because a lot of people want to be out, but we have to keep watching over our shoulders because of the 20% of dumbasses
Especially the 2-3% of people who like to scream they are being discriminated against, while the most the government did was ask nicely to get vaccinated, and closing the economy for them because its still dangerous for them, because they are... NOT VACICNATED

@Fredy31 There are a staggering amount of people who want to experience the rights and liberties of a society without also performing the duties and requirements that are expected of them
It's like with Brexit: people didn't want Europeans taking jobs away from "real brits", but then when those Europeans left they've found those "job thieves" are actually doing the jobs that none of them want to do, and now they need to suddenly find millions of people among themselves willing to do these jobs, to the point that they're considering extending visas to South East Asian islanders

My GF is from a rural town (well the last city outside of Montreal before you really are in the fields) and so she knows a lot of people that are now in the farming industry.

Theres a good reason why they bring people from the honduras to work the fields. One of them is, yes, they usually are paid less than locals, but there is also the fact that they work hard and dont stop at the first inconvenience
The jobs are also open to locals with a salary that well, would be within the norms, but guess what, no locals apply on them
And I think by saying 'paid less' its just not as much as you would expect. The minimal wage laws still apply.
and they are fed and boarded while they are here

> “Patient data is, in my opinion, the most valuable assets [sic] the VA has,” a consultant said in a June 2017 email released Monday by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee. “It can be leveraged into hundreds of millions in revenue” by selling access to major companies, he said.

8:00 PM
yeah those medical records ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FOR REVENUE
God fucking capitalists trying to squeeze any profits possible out of people

But don't worry, it was just a pl...
> The documents do not show what became of the plan or whether the VA ever sold access to patient data.

Great, so people put life and limb down to fight for your (fucking useless) war and you turn around and just decide to sell information on all their problems from fighting your (fucking useless) war for someone else profit?
Good old us of fucking a

8:43 PM
@BradC THAT took my breath away
(I get my care from the VA, it's a tender subject)

I think its going to take us a long time to fully get our minds around how much the Trump crime family and their hoodlums in business suits were (and probably still is) selling off the assets (and secrets, probably?) of the US government for their own personal profit
Granted, in this case it didn't seem like it was for personal profit of those in leadership, just that they thought the business of the VA was to make money however they can

In the Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney Epic Rap Battle of History, Abraham Lincoln yelled into the face of Mitt Romney "IT'S A COUNTRY, NOT A COMPANY YOU CAN RUN LIKE MONOPOLY!". Simpler times...

Yep, the whole "being a business executive is the same skill set as being an elected executive official" is just bullshit
