Highlighting my question again to hopefully attract more answers. Negative effects at work have only increased and my team have started to notice about disrupted work schedule in addition to my manager. Medical costs are also adding up. Per my most recent edits, my gf already have had health scares that could have been worse or God forbid, fatal. I can't go on in caring for my gf like this as much as I still love her.

The current two answers read like platitudes and do not directly answer my question. I am looking for a holistic framework that involves a deeply personal question , for life changing decision in someone I love.

@user42077 hi! I mostly lurk here but I noticed you've posted links to your question a few times. In general - folks active on the network and the chatrooms are the same people, and established chat etiquette tends to frown on well, linking your own posts for attention

If its something super interesting to people you know on the chatroom, sure but not all questions get satisfying answers, and I'm not sure posting it (repeatedly?) on chat's that helpful in finding an answer, or getting positive/useful attention to it
