some of my friends a bit further north than me had a whole heap of snow yesterday and it massively reduced the productivity of our dnd (we use a video chat)
I find snow mesmerizing to look at. And I love walking through fresh snow. But I have yet to have to drive to an office in dangerous road conditions, so I don't know if I truly love snow or just some aspects of it :P
Not that i play the game anymore, but around this time in the year GTA V "hackers" sometimes change the standard map to the snowy one and it would always make me smile like an idiot
Work has a nice 'fisc-free' program. You can get gift cards for big online stores, and they'll be taken out of your paycheck so you won't end up paying taxes over that part of your pay-check, which means you get a high value gift card with a whole bunch of discount.
My first time trying that went well XD
Manager: You can order those, upload the receipts in the tool, and it'll work.
So, I go to order 250 euro's worth of gift cards. Literally minutes after paying:
Manager2: Noooo! Don't order those cards, stop the press, the receipt thing is only for when you're ordering stuff like desk chairs and monitors. The gift cards need to be ordered through the tool directly.
Me: Oh well, I already paid but I can probably still cancel, they were good with that last time too. Presses the cancel button on the order, gets the standard 'we're trying to cancel your order and will e-mail you when it's succeeded'
This was just minutes apart.
I just got an e-mail: The gifts cards are already in transit and can't be cancelled. But you can return them for free! (Spoiler: You can not, gift cards are non-refundable). I just filed a bug report about the communication and I now have a 250 euro 'savings account' for online purchases, I guess XD
(And another 250 euro will be added to that from the gift cards I do get through the fisc-free arrangement XD)
