@Tinkeringbell Read the story just now, and I would do any of the following: Gently tell them to fk off OR listen to their story carefully punctuating by "hm", "oh that must be tough" and end up saying "so what are you going to do now?", once or twice. Option choices are based on how moody/patient I am. Don't think there is any invalid option but I'm usually reluctant to get hands dirty when that gesture is not appreciated for what it is. Sorry if it doesn't solve the emotional unstability...
