I have watched a lot of videos documenting surgical procedures, because I am fascinated and interested by this topic, and also I like watching disgusting things. One of these videos presented the surgical operation of removing cataracts, which is done by surgically removing the cataractic crystalline lens from the eye through an incision. One comment under this video said "it was an eye-opening experience" Q_Q

@ArthurHv I'm pretty sure she said she was in Europe. Don't remember the country though (except that it wasn't mine and not a direct neighbor either). So yeah, she seems to be a night owl ^^
So those are 3 a.m. puns
Hmm . . .
The US is a 10–12 hour difference from me. 6 hours would probably be Greenland or in the middle of the ocean
@JourneymanGeek You'll always be the travel guy for me hon

@lila eww :P
@M.A.R. uh, i don't know most of these people XD
except Catija
I used to think eyes are gross. I've been made to do things as a transplant patient that have rendered almost everything non-gross
@CaldeiraG Oh true she even told me when we spoke about car
Hillarious, if a bit vulgar. You do make a good point about natural consequences. A term I heard of, but never really practiced. — dorijan5484 1 min ago

Hi, good afternoon, what a welcoming, mysterious aura! :D I went to sleep at 3:30 AM, I have a severely disrupted circadian clock right now, I guess that if even people on the Internet chat started to notice something's off about my "good night" hours, then it's really alarming :D I'd say my example shows how could you be affected by covid without even having covid.
mag
mag
as long as you're getting high quality sleep for long enough
@mag Oh hi, I didn't see you in this chat before, as far as I know the highest quality sleep is between 10PM and 2AM, I can feel how my pattern is sub-optimal but I can't help it and, besides, it's okay; I am also missing Tinkeringbell. And just a few days ago I've learnt that this nickname is a reference to Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, I felt ignorant and enlightened at the same time; I know Peter Pan but not in English.

I used to come here a lot

@lila I highly doubt sleeping outside normal hours to be "inefficient" it depends of your inner personal clock which have been proved to be shorter than 24h for some and longer for others. There is some science behind some people being morning people and some other being evening people
BEHOLD, SCIENCE
wat its cropped as fouq
:D
Sleeping in "inefficient hours" decreases focus and increases the risk of accidental image cropping :D I'm kidding of course. It just reminds me of a joke, no offense please, it's not personally related ;_; a child asked his father "hey dad, what does it mean to be drunk?" and dad replied "hey son, do you see these 2 men sitting over there? if I was drunk, I would see 4 men" son said "dad, but there is only 1 man!" :D
@ArthurHv Could you please insert the whole image, it's really interesting.

extracted from this paper which studies sex difference in the circadian cycle ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3176605 and tbh i don't care sex difference but it gives interesting insights on what's at work about circadian cycles

In the day nothing matters, it's the night time that flatters.

your name means purple in german
kinda fitting
In the night no control, through the wall somethings breaking, wearing white as you're walking through the street of my soul.
@mag Haha you know, the default generated confetti avatar was also in similar shade, I still don't know how it works and whether it is sensitive to certain words meaning colors :D and your name literally means "magician" in Polish, though I know in German "mag" is a verb meaning "can".

What is the difference between a hippo and a zippo? One is really heavy and the other is a little lighter.
Did you hear about that man whose whole left side of the body was cut off? It seemed like not much was left of him, but he is all right now.

An outside the box sugguestion, but if you are on facebook, there is a group called "Sounds like you need to be educated on transgender individuals but ok" that is aimed at providing a safe and appropriate place to ask transgender volunteers exactly this type of question. Despite the cheeky name, the people there are very kind and happy to answer well meaning questions that are probably too invasive to ask your transgender acquaintances. — Meg 26 secs ago
