I just read a post opposing wind turbines. Their logic was the following: insects get hit by the rotor blades and kills them. They slowly fall down, which attracts small birds, which get hit by the rotor blades while trying to eat the insects that are falling down and get killed too. While they slowly fall down, they attract bigger carrion birds, who also get hit by the rotor blades while they eat the small birds that are falling down.
I don't think that's how gravity works.
